NOTE: Windy conditions in the plains led me to make a couple changes in my personal lineup. See the comments if interested.

EARLY SLATE

Quarterback

Taylor Kelly - Arizona State vs. Notre Dame ($6,900)

Kelly has a somewhat concerning matchup with an Irish defense with more interceptions (12) than passing touchdowns allowed (11), but Notre Dame has shown a bit of a vulnerability to mobile quarterbacks, allowing an average of 26.5 Draft Kings points per game to the trio of Marquise Williams, Terrel Hunt and Jameis Winston. Kelly plays in an offense averaging 36.5 pass attempts per game, and he's averaged over 10 carries per start in his career. So long as he sticks to a modest average of 7.5 yards per pass and 3.5 yards per carry, you can pencil in Kelly for 274 yards passing and 35 on the ground, and probably at least two touchdowns. Kelly threw for 362 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions against Notre Dame last year.

Dane Evans - Tulsa at SMU ($6,700)

Evans is at home against an SMU team allowing 9.2 yards per pass and touchdowns on 7.5 percent of opposing pass attempts. Tulsa is attempting 44.3 passes per game so far this year, and Evans has thrown for 300-plus yards in two straight games despite facing South Florida and Memphis - two passing defenses that are totally competent by non-AQ standards.

QB Alternatives: Sam Richardson - Iowa State at Kansas ($7,600), Luke Falk - Washington State at Oregon State ($6,600), Sean Mannion - Oregon State vs. Washington State ($6,500)

Running Back

Cameron Artis-Payne - Auburn vs. Texas A&M ($5,800)

This price is so low it almost looks like an error. Artis-Payne has 133 more carries than the next Auburn running back, and he's averaging 121.75 yards per game on the ground. He's facing a Texas A&M defense that has allowed 15 rushing touchdowns in nine games, including 14 touchdowns in five SEC games. It's hard to see Artis-Payne finishing this game with anything less than 150 yards and a score.

Nick Chubb - Georgia at Kentucky ($8,300)

Chubb gets one more week as the Georgia workhorse while Todd Gurley remains suspended, and he should go out with a bang against a Kentucky defense allowing 226 yards and two touchdowns on the ground per game against SEC offenses. Despite facing three competent defenses in Missouri, Arkansas and Florida, Chubb has been an absolute monster the last three weeks, averaging 35.97 points per game on DraftKings.

RB Alternatives: D.J. Foster - Arizona State vs. Notre Dame ($6,000), Mark Weisman - Iowa at Minnesota ($5,500), Kenneth Farrow - Houston vs. Tulane ($5,200), Justin Jackson - Northwestern vs. Michigan ($5,100), Corey Avery - Kansas vs. Iowa State ($4,000), Aaron Wimberly - Iowa State at Kansas ($4,000)

Wide Receiver

DaeSean Hamilton - Penn State at Indiana ($5,600)

Hamilton's total of one touchdown on 61 catches and average of just 11.7 yards per catch are pretty lame, but he's a useful high-floor option in DraftKings' PPR scoring since he sees such a heavy volume of targets. Hamilton is averaging 7.8 catches per game this year, and he's facing an Indiana defense allowing Big Ten teams to throw for 283 yards and 2.25 touchdowns per game.

Jordan Villamin - Oregon State vs. Washington State ($4,700)

Villamin is one of my favorite breakout players this year. Although he's just a redshirt freshman, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Villamin is poised to end this year very strong after replacing the injured Richard Mullaney in the starting lineup. Villamin has been great the last three weeks, totaling 17 catches for 268 yards and three touchdowns despite facing two of the nation's toughest pass defenses in Utah and Stanford. I consider him a must-play this week at home against a Washington State squad allowing 8.3 yards per pass and just under three passing touchdowns per game (26 in nine games).

Allen Lazard - Iowa State at Kansas ($3,900)

I'm staying on the Lazard bandwagon. Fellow wideout and former high recruit D'Vario Montgomery has emerged in recent weeks, lessening Lazard's share of the Iowa State passing production, but there should be enough passing stats this week to go around between Lazard, Montgomery and tight end E.J. Bibbs. Lazard has 21 catches for 235 yards and two scores over the last three weeks despite facing two tough pass defenses in Texas and Oklahoma, and I love how quarterback Sam Richardson has 935 yards and seven touchdowns through the air in his last three games.

WR Alternatives: Antwan Goodley - Baylor at Oklahoma ($6,600), William Fuller - Notre Dame at Arizona State ($6,000), Victor Bolden - Oregon State vs. Washington State ($4,900), Keyarris Garrett - Tulsa at SMU ($4,300), Deshon Foxx - Connecticut at Army ($4,100), D'Vario Montgomery - Iowa State at Kansas ($3,800)

Tight End

E.J. Bibbs - Iowa State at Kansas ($3,700)

Bibbs isn't cheap, but I like the upside he provides playing in a sort of three-man No. 1 WR platoon for Iowa State. Although he's averaging just 8.9 yards per catch, Bibbs is tied for Iowa State's team lead with 34 catches, and his six touchdowns easily lead the team.

Flex

Synjyn Days - Georgia Tech at North Carolina State ($4,300)

Double check on the status of Zach Laskey (shoulder) prior to Saturday, but Laskey wasn't practicing as of Tuesday, and he might lose his starting job to Days, anyway. Days has been very good the last two weeks, stomping Pittsburgh and Virginia for 257 yards and a touchdown (5.6 YPC) while adding a 17-yard touchdown catch. North Carolina State has allowed 906 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground in five ACC games.

Late game throw-ins

QB: Joe Gray + Anu Solomon

RB: Tyler Ervin + Marteze Waller + Paul Perkins + Matt Jones + Derrick Henry

WR: Joe Hansley + Marcus Kemp + Jordan Payton + Tyler Winston

TE: Pharoah Brown
