2025 Fantasy Outlook
Robertson showed he can be an elite forward when he scored 46 goals and 109 points in 82 regular-season appearances in 2022-23, but since then he’s recorded 80 points in each of the past two regular seasons despite playing every game. That’s not a bad result, it’s just less than the 26-year-old is capable of. There were some factors that held him back in 2024-25. He got off to a slow start, supplying five goals and 15 points across his first 26 outings, and he finished with less than 20 power-play points for the first time since 2020-21 -- far below his career high of 41 in 2022-23. His shot total also slid to 211 in 2024-25 from a high of 313 in 2022-23. Those are frustrating trends, but ones that may reverse. Robertson scored two goals, recorded two power-play assists and placed three shots on net in Thursday's 7-2 win over Edmonton.

Robertson went off Thursday for his largest single-game output on offense this season. He tallied an unassisted goal in the first, another goal early in the second period and two power-play assists on tallies scored by Wyatt Johnston and Jamie Benn, respectively. With the four-point game, Robertson now has 36 goals, 42 assists, 226 shots on net, 39 hits and 26 blocked shots across 65 games this season. At 78 points, he is tied for ninth in the NHL and is just two points away from matching his output of 80 from each of the past two seasons. He has five multi-point games since the Olympic break and is proving to be one of the game's true stars this season.

Robertson took a big step backward in 2023-24 following his 46-goal, 109-point breakout from the 2022-23 campaign. In 82 games last season, he compiled 29 goals and 80 points. The 24-year-old forward was still productive but fell short of expectations due to a dramatic drop in goals scored and power-play production. He entered the 2023-24 season as one of only eight players to net at least 40 goals in each of the previous two campaigns, so failing to reach the 30-goal plateau had to be disappointing for fantasy managers who invested a high pick in Robertson. Still, he could return to the 90-point mark in 2024-25 if he gets a little more puck luck.
