Marino missed the first 42 games of 2024-25 after undergoing lower-back surgery in October. Following his return in January, the right-shot blueliner chipped in one goal, 13 helpers, 30 shots on goal, nine hits, 46 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 35 appearances with Utah. The 28-year-old is essentially a non-factor with the man advantage -- he hasn't recorded a power-play point since the 2021-22 campaign with Pittsburgh. Marino has reached the 25-point mark in three of his six years in the NHL, so if he can stay healthy, that threshold is attainable. The Massachusetts native can probably be avoided on draft day if you're in a standard league, but he could be worth an in-season add if his offense picks up steam. Read Past Outlooks

Last season was a bit of a bounce-back year for Marino, as he reached the 25-point threshold for the third time in his five-year NHL career. The 27-year-old defenseman's biggest struggle since making the jump to the NHL has been staying healthy, as he's failed to play a full 82-game campaign. The Massachusetts native suited up in 75 games last year, which likely helped spark his offensive upside. If he can stay fit, Marino is certainly capable of putting up 25-30 points during the 2024-25 campaign, making him a decent late-round fantasy option.
