FanDuel College Basketball: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel College Basketball series.

We've reached the fourth and final day of the opening weekend of March Madness, and I think it's safe to say that the first three days certainly didn't disappoint. Sunday's contests include eight games, and there are a handful of very intriguing matchups. Be sure to check in on any last minute injury news prior to making your lineups. Let's take a look at Sunday's FanDuel value plays of the day:

Guards
Melo Trimble, Maryland vs. Hawaii ($7,700) –
Trimble leads the Terps with 14.5 points per game, and he's scored in double figures in all but seven games this season. The sophomore guard has scored at least 16 points in five of his last six, and he shouldn't have a problem doing it again Sunday against Hawaii. Trimble could be in for a monster day if he can avoid the turnovers.

Demetrius Jackson, Notre Dame vs. Stephen F. Austin ($7,200) – Jackson averages a very solid line of 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game for a Notre Dame team that lacks overall depth. The junior guard plays 35.8 minutes per game and the Irish will rely heavily on him in Sunday's matchup in the second round. Jackson has scored in double figures in three of his last four games and grabbed at least four rebounds in all four of those contests.

Jordan Woodard, Oklahoma vs. VCU ($5,700) – Woodard is one of four Sooners to average at least 10 points per game, and he's scored in double-figures in three of his last four. Everyone has heard of Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins, but Woodard is also a very important piece of the Oklahoma offense. He shoots 45 percent from beyond the arc and averages 4.7 three-point attempts per game. VCU will look to shut down Hield on Sunday, which means Woodard could get a lot of looks. If Woodard provides the type of production that he has over his last four games, he'll be a great value play at such a low price.

Forwards
Nigel Hayes, Wisconsin vs. Xavier ($7,200) –
Normally I wouldn't take guys who play in a slower-paced system, but Xavier's game plan will be to pick up the pace and play their style of basketball. Hayes is the focal point of the Badgers' offense, averaging 16.2 points and 5.8 rebounds in 36.3 minutes per game. The junior forward is averaging 17.3 points per game over his last three, and he shouldn't have a problem scoring 20-plus fantasy points against Xavier.

Danuel House, Texas A&M vs. Northern Iowa ($6,700) – House leads the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game to go along with 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per outing. The senior guard is averaging 26.0 points per game over the last two, and he'll be a big part of the Aggies' offense on Sunday against Northern Iowa. House comes with a very reasonable price, and he'll provide excellent value if he produces like he has been as of late.

Adam Woodbury, Iowa vs. Villanova ($5,600) – Woodbury struggles to score at times, but he's recorded double-digit rebounds in 12 of his last 15 games, and he comes with a nice price tag. The senior forward will need to be on top of his game Sunday if the Hawkeyes are going to beat Villanova. He's averaging 7.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, and he's recorded seven double-doubles on the year. This game is expected to be one of the more high-scoring games on the day, so the pace could help Woodbury provide good value.
