2026 Fantasy Outlook
Nabers suffered ACL and meniscus tears in Week 4 last year, bringing an early end to what could've been a prolific campaign. He averaged 10.7 targets over the first three weeks, after averaging a league-high 11.3 per game during his 2024 rookie season. The strong start last year came with Russell Wilson at quarterback, but the Giants actually got better play out of rookie Jaxson Dart, who made his first NFL start the same week that Nabers suffered his ugly injury. Giants fans rightfully are excited about an offense led by Dart, Nabers and LT Andrew Thomas, under the guidance of new head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. Few teams have similar talent at premium positions on offense, but that doesn't mean it's without potential pitfalls, including Nabers coming off major surgery and the Giants coming off a four-win season. Nabers' meniscus tear may have complicated the rehab for his ACL tear, and he ended up having a minor procedure this spring to remove scar tissue that was impacting flexibility. The Giants are otherwise relying on the likes of Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney and third-round pick Malachi Fields at wide receiver, but Harbaugh at least brought TE Isaiah Likely and FB Patrick Ricard over with him from the Ravens to provide competent snaps. There's nobody who would stop a healthy Nabers from dominating targets again; the main concerns are that he won't be ready for Week 1 and/or won't regain his top form until 2027. Read Past Outlooks

At 80 percent mark in rehab process
WRNew York Giants
Knee - ACL
June 10, 2026
Giants coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that he's "very hopeful" Nabers (knee) will "be back soon," estimating that the wideout has completed 70-to-80 percent of his rehab process, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds much more optimistic than Harbaugh's quotes from three weeks prior (May 21), when he told reports that Nabers was in the "slog of [his rehab], the grind of it." Harbaugh now estimates that the star wideout is three-fourths of the way through his rehab, which perhaps sounds promising yet still makes Nabers highly unlikely to be ready for the start of training camp. While the Giants have yet to comment on expectations for the regular season, fantasy managers should assume a high level of risk that Nabers isn't ready for Week 1. His injury entailed a a meniscus tear in addition to an ACL tear, and he had a procedure in April to remove scar tissue that formed after the initial surgery (Oct. 28).

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Nabers arguably surpassed expectations for even a sixth overall pick last year, catching 109 passes in 15 games despite being one of the youngest players in his draft class. If not for a concussion costing him Weeks 5 and 6, he would've led the NFL in targets and set a rookie record for receptions. As is, Nabers finished second among WRs in targets rate (32.4 percent of routes) and third in receptions, although the yardage numbers were less impressive (11.0 per catch, 7.1 per target) for reasons that mostly seem to be no fault of his own. The concern for fantasy is that Nabers may be in a bad situation again this season, catching passes from Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and/or Jaxson Dart. There aren't many concerns about Nabers himself, with the strong rookie year supporting pre-draft expectations that his 4.35 speed would play equally well as a downfield threat and as a YAC weapon. The combination of elite speed and agility in a thick frame (6-0, 200) is reminiscent of Cincinnati's Ja'Marr Chase, who offers a fair comparison for Nabers' ceiling if ever paired with a top passer. For now, we'll likely have to settle for big-time volume in a subpar offense, hoping Nabers' freakish talent shines through often enough to pay off a hefty draft price.
Nabers was the second WR taken in the 2024 Draft, going sixth overall to a Giants team that was widely rumored to be interested in quarterbacks. He'd be a consensus WR1 in many other draft classes, but Marvin Harrison was the popular favorite for a loaded 2024 class. Nabers has looked the part since his initial year at LSU in 2021, when he started six of 11 games and had 417 receiving yards as an 18-year-old true freshman (after missing his senior season of high school due to a declined transfer waiver, no less). Nabers then progressed to 1,017 receiving yards as a sophomore and 1,569 as a junior, comfortably outproducing teammate Brian Thomas (also a first-round pick) in every key category besides touchdowns. Nabers scored 14 of those in 2023 to help QB Jayden Daniels win the Heisman Award, with highlights including a 13-239-2 receiving line against Miss. St. and a 10-171-1 showing at Alabama. Listed at 6-0, 200, Nabers is about 3-4 inches and 10-15 pounds shy of Harrison and fellow rookie Rome Odunze, but the LSU product is probably the fastest of the three and also the best YAC threat. While he didn't test at the combine, Nabers reportedly posted a 4.44-second 40-yard dash and 38-inch vertical... back in 2020 when he was still in high school. He should immediately become the Giants' No. 1 receiver ahead of Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt, albeit in an offense that has Daniel Jones (ACL) and Drew Lock at quarterback.

HC 'hopeful' of imminent return
WRNew York Giants
June 10, 2026
Nabers, who's in the latter stages of his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 4 of last season, has made encouraging progress of late, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Giants head coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday he is "hopeful" Nabers would be back on the practice field soon, with the next opportunity for the star wideout to take that step coming once training camp begins in late July. Nabers, who also had a full meniscus repair during his ACL surgery and an additional cleanup procedure earlier this offseason, did not participate in the Giants' just-concluded minicamp but is about 80 percent through his recovery process, per Harbaugh.
