Cason leaves Michigan in the wake of head coach Dusty May's abrupt departure for the Dallas Mavericks. Cason is dealing with a knee injury that is going to keep him out for the 2026-27 campaign, however, a season he's planning on redshirting. Thus, the guard will be a long-term add for whatever team nabs him. As a sophomore in Ann Arbor, he averaged 8.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 18.6 minutes per game across 28 appearances.
