FORWARDS
Alexis Sanchez, MUN v. SEV ($10,300): Alexis has gotten off to a slow start with Manchester United, with just one goal through seven games. He's been avoidable for fantasy purposes recently, but on a two-game slate with massive implications, he has to be given strong consideration. He has the potential to be a game changer in tournaments, and with a spot in the UCL quarter-final on the line, this could be the moment that Alexis finally breaks through in a big way.
Edin Dzeko, ROM v. SHK ($8,500): Dzeko played provider in the first leg, assisting on Roma's only goal in a 2-1 loss. He has the best goal scoring odds of any player on the slate, and with Roma chasing the series at home in the second leg, Dzeko is in a spot where he could end up with multiple goals to see Roma through to the next round.
Diego Perotti, ROM v. SHK ($7,900): With only two games to select from, I want more exposure to the Roma attack than any of the other teams on the slate. Perotti let some of us down with just six fantasy points in the first leg, but now that he's back at home and looking to turn the series upside down, it wouldn't come as a surprise to see him break double-digit points again in this one.
MIDFIELDERS
Cenzig Under, ROM v. SHK ($7,800): Under scored the all-important away goal in the 2-1 loss in the first leg at Shakhtar, and he's been one of Roma's top producers over the last month. His fantasy appeal is helped on by a small share of Roma's set pieces, but if we're simply looking for goals on this slate, Under fits the bill in a must-win game.
Ever Banega, SEV at MUN ($6,700): Banega swung in 13 crosses against Manchester United in the first leg en route to 17.80 fantasy points. While Sevilla face a tall task in upending the Red Devils at Old Trafford, Banega holds the key as the primary playmaker and set-piece taker for the La Liga side.
Marlos, SHK at ROM ($5,800):Marlos splits corners with Bernard ($5,200), but he does enough in the attack to warrant consideration at a mid-range price. I can't envision Shakhtar sitting back and absorbing the Roma attack with a 2-1 lead heading into the second leg. A 1-0 loss would be enough to eliminate Shakhtar, and an early Roma goal could trigger Marlos to spring into top gear.
DEFENDERS
Aleksandar Kolarov, ROM v. SHK ($7,300): Kolarov's price is high, but on a two-game slate I think he's a necessity. I would dole out $7,300 on a set-piece taking midfielder on a home favorite, and with Roma chasing the series from the opening whistle, Kolarov is in a spot where he should be sending crosses in early and often.
Alessandro Florenzi, ROM v. SHK ($5,500): There are no standout options at the defender position after Kolarov, but Florenzi pumped in four crosses in each of his last two UCL appearances, and if we're jamming in Roma players he gives us added exposure to both their defense and attack.
Sergio Escudero, SEV at MUN ($4,800): Escudero topped double digits in the first leg, and he's fired off at least two shots in each of his last three UCL matches. We can't predict match flow, but if Manchester United happen to grab the series lead at home, Escudero will be forced to be even more active on the attacking end.
GOALKEEPER
Sergio Rico, SEV at MUN ($4,100): Rico didn't have much to do in a 0-0 draw in the first leg, making one save and notching seven points. He's likely to be forced into making some saves at Old Trafford, and on a short slate like this both away goalkeepers are worth a flier as they come at enough of a discount to potentially payoff their salaries through saves.
