Game Preview
The second game of the series between these two sides on Saturday was rained out, so this will be the final game of what will wind up as a two-game series. The Wyverns have posted a 1-3 mark in their first four games of the campaign, although they enter this contest riding a two-game losing streak. Things are extremely different for the Giants, though – they sit at the top of the standings with four wins in four games and are one of two teams that remain undefeated in Week 1 of the 2020 KBO season. The Giants will send Dan Straily to the mound in an effort to extend their run. The eight-year MLB veteran allowed two runs across 5.2 innings in the season opener. The Wyverns will counter with Kim Tae-hoon, who will be making his first start of the season Sunday. Kim has posted a sub-4.00 ERA in each of the last two seasons – 3.88 in 2019 and 3.83 in 2018.

Injuries
SK Wyverns
Lee Jae-won - Out - Thumb
Lee exited Thursday's 8-4 loss to Hanwha with a fractured right thumb, Jeeho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports. SK Wyverns has yet to announce a timeline for Lee's return. Lee was hitless in his first two at-bats before he sustained the injury when he was hit by a pitch in his third plate appearance of the day. SK Wyverns will presumably send Lee in for more tests to determine whether surgery is necessary, but even if he avoids a procedure, he appears likely to miss time on account of the injury. Lee's expected absence further thins a weak KBO catcher pool in which the 32-year-old stood out as one of the top fantasy options coming off a 12-homer, 75-RBI 2019 season. Hyun-seok Lee replaced Jae-won in Thursday's game and would presumably be in store for regular work behind the dish while the latter is sidelined.
Lotte Giants
Adrian Sampson - Out - Personal
5/6 11:56 AM IST - Sampson (personal) is set to return to South Korea on Thursday, Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News Agency reports. Sampson left Lotte in late April to spend time with his ailing father in the United States, but he's now ready to rejoin the club for his first KBO season. Before debuting for the Giants, Sampson will have to self-quarantine for 14 days until he's allowed to report to the club. He appears on track to make his first start for Lotte before May comes to a close.

Top picks:
Jamie Romak, Wyverns: Romak is the most likely source of offense for the Wyverns in this one. Despite the team's struggles, the 34-year-old first baseman has collected three hits – including two doubles – in his first 16 at-bats. He currently owns a slash line of .312/.353/.500 in his first four games.
Kim Tae-hoon, Wyverns: Kim will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders, as he will have to deliver a masterful pitching performance if the Wyverns want a real shot at topping the undefeated Giants.
Dixon Machado, Giants: The 28-year-old infielder couldn't have started his KBO career on a stronger note, as he's hitting .400 with two home runs, six RBI and a 1.271 OPS in his first four games. He also has two multi-hit games in four appearances and has hit safely in all but one contest thus far.
Son Ah-seop, Giants: Son started the season hitting .375 with a 1.037 OPS in his first four games. He has a strong track record at the KBO level, hitting double-digit home runs in each of his last seven seasons and hitting under .300 just once during that span.
