Signing with Giants
The Giants are slated to sign Smith-Schuster, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Along with Smith-Schuster, the Giants are in line to add Odell Beckham and Braxton Berrios, adding depth to a WR corps that's led by Malik Nabers (knee), when healthy. In 17 regular-season games with the Chiefs in 2025, Smith-Schuster put up a 33-345-1 line on 45 targets, and with New York, the 29-year-old will have an opportunity to compete with Darius Slayton (abdomen) , Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin, Malachi Fields, Isaiah Hodgins and Beckham for targets that don't go Nabers' way.

Smith-Schuster was forced into a notable role on offense in 2024, due largely to injuries elsewhere in Kansas City's receiving corps, putting up an 18-231-2 receiving line across 14 regular-season appearances. The Chiefs opted to re-sign Smith-Schuster while allowing DeAndre Hopkins to depart, but for 2025 he looks positioned to settle into a more comfortable No. 4 role, with Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown both now healthy and Xavier Worthy presumably primed for a Year 2 leap.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be among final cuts
Dan Duggan of The Athletic predicts that Smith-Schuster will fail to make the Giants' 53-man roster.
ANALYSIS
Duggan is picking Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, Malachi Fields, Calvin Austin and Odell Beckham to make the team. Mooney, Fields and Austin have worked as the Giants' starters at OTAs while Nabers and Slayton have sat out due to knee and core muscle injuries, respectively. Smith-Schuster, Beckham and Braxton Berrios all signed with the Giants on June 1, and the three of them may be competing for one roster spot, which Duggan projects to go to Beckham. Smith-Schuster has appeared in 121 regular-season games, including all 17 in 2025, when he was with Kansas City.
