2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Dolphins re-signed Berrios to a one-year, $3 million contract, but also brought in veteran wideout Odell Beckham to finally fill the WR No. 3 role on the team's offense. That will likely leave Berrios primarily working on special teams, a role that led to him accumulating 676 return yards last season. Depth opportunities on offense behind the Dolphins' top three receivers will be split between Berrios, River Cracraft and rookie Malik Washington. Read Past Outlooks

Lands on IR
The Dolphins placed Berrios (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios sustained a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Colts, and being placed on IR on Monday suggests the issue is significant. The 29-year-old now will be forced to miss the Dolphins' next four games, with his earliest possible return coming Week 12 against the Patriots. After Berrios' placement on IR, the Dolphins have just four wide receivers on their active roster: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham and rookie Malik Washington. Expect De'Von Achane and Washington to serve as Miami's top kick and punt returners, respectively, until Berrios can return.

Berrios, a 2018 sixth-round pick of the Patriots who logged all 65 of his career appearances with the Jets, now remains in the AFC East as a depth pass-catcher for the Dolphins. Miami lacks a solidified No. 3 receiver behind superstars Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, so that spot could be Berrios' to win if he can beat out Cedrick Wilson and Robbie Chosen, both of whom could also boast upside in the slot. It shouldn't be overlooked that Berrios is a more than capable return man, and a potential favorite to handle the majority of both punt and kick take-backs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see heavy usage early on
With multiple Dolphins receivers nursing injuries, Berrios could see an uptick in playing time and targets from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to begin the season.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins' star wideout duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle has been limited in practices with their respective issues, while Odell Beckham is set to miss at least the first four games of the regular season while recovering from an undisclosed offseason procedure. Berrios hasn't registered more than 500 yards in a season in his NFL career, but the 2018 sixth-round pick would see heavy usage in the passing game if Hill or Waddle were to be sidelined or operate on a snap count. Across 16 regular-season games in 2023, Berrios recorded 27 catches on 33 targets for 238 yards and one touchdown.
