The Patriots reached their record 12 Super Bowl by defeating the Broncos, 10-7, in Sunday's AFC Championship Game in snowy Denver. The Seahawks punched their ticket to their fourth Super Bowl by knocking off the division rival Los Angeles Rams 31-27 at home in the NFC title game. That sets up the biggest single-day sports betting sites event of the year.

Looking at this year's Super Bowl LX rosters, we can see that the NFC champions rank just ahead for youth, with Seattle's roster age sitting at 26.14 years on average while New England checks in at 26.30.

That ranking has flipped since the start of the season, when Bookies.com had New England at 26 years and 10 months, compared with Seattle's figure of 27 years and four months, speaking to the constant turnover that's typical in each NFL season.

When we break down the rosters by longevity, both teams are close to the league's average playing career length of 3.3 years. The underdog Patriots clock in at 3.84 years across the team's 53-man roster.

Seattle's roster packs more of a punch, with an average weight of 251 pounds, five more than the collective heft for the AFC champs from Foxborough.

It's no surprise that the top states for producing Super Bowl players are the most populated states in the nation. Both are high school and college football hotbeds, too.

California and Texas both have produced 13 players who will suit up for the game on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara. Florida (10 players) and North Carolina (seven players) were next in line.

Five states – Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland and Mississippi – have five players apiece on either roster in 2026. Wrapping up the top 10 are Ohio and the state of Washington, with four players apiece on the Super Bowl LX docket this year.

The top schools on the two teams' rosters in 2026 are blue bloods.

Alabama has seven players to lead all schools. The Crimson Tide produced four current members of the Seahawks, including backup quarterback Jalen Milroe. Three members of the Patriots finished their college careers in Tuscaloosa, including starting defensive tackle Christian Barmore.

LSU is second on the list with five players, followed by Big Ten rivals Michigan and USC (four players each). There are seven universities that produced three players each for the Big Game: Three from the Big Ten (Illinois, Minnesota and Ohio State), two form the ACC Miami and North Carolina State) and two out of the SEC (Auburn and Texas).

This year's starting quarterbacks will represent a first for their respective alma maters in Santa Clara. Drake Maye is the first North Carolina Tar Heels QB to make the Big Game. And it might stun many longtime fans to learn that Seattle's Sam Darnold is the first USC Trojan signalcaller to start in the Super Bowl.

Here is the list of previous starting QBS in all Super Bowls, with their college affiliations:
