NFL Picks: Backing the Bills

Another collective above-.500 week for the staff, though majority picks took a hit at 7-8. I'm still in first by a comfortable margin (seven games), but DDD made up a little ground with a 10-5 week.

Not a lot of agreement for Week 6 with five different best bets and only one unanimous pick, the Bills.

Unanimous/Majority Picks

This week, we have but one unanimous pick, the Bills. Last week we went 1-1 on unanimous picks to go 10-7 on the year. And we went 7-8 on majority picks (three or more writers) to go 45-29-2.

Erickson	My first inclination was to take the Pats over the Bills given the Sunday night performance, but I'm not sure I'm ready to declare all is well for the Pats yet. Buffalo's defense is legit, and Orton's comparative lack-of-suck can keep the Bills afloat... Lots of ugly picks on this slate though - Jets, Titans, Rams, Bucs, Vikings... I'm really hoping that Bears-Falcons is the ticket-to-the-carnival game it appears to be.
Pianowski	The strength of Buffalo's defense is an under-reported story. I know New England usually beats Buffalo anywhere and everywhere, but rosters change so quick in the NFL, that doesn't matter much to me.
Liss	I especially like the Seahawks, Falcons, Bengals and Vikings. Feel shaky about the Texans, Browns, Jets and Bucs.
Stopa	I've got too much chalk here, but at the rate I'm going, you're fading me anyway... The whole staff will have a party the first game the Jaguars win ATS. There will be balloon animals and everything.
Del Don	I struggled to come up with a best bet, as none really jumped out to me... I also particularly like the Eagles, Buccaneers, 49ers and Vikings this week.
