2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Singletary's second season with the Giants was nearly identical to his first when it was all said and done. Rookie Cam Skattebo hit the ground running and relegated Singletary to a depth role, and the seven-year veteran didn't see more than seven carries in a game in the first half of the year. Once Skattebo suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8, however, Singletary found himself being leaned on again in a backfield tandem with Tyrone Tracy as New York tried to take some pressure off rookie QB Jaxson Dart. While Tracy saw double-digit carries every game from Week 10 on and made an impact as a receiver, however. Singletary found himself as more of a short-yardage option, scoring five rushing touchdowns over the final seven games but averaging just 3,9 yards per carry during that time. All told, Singletary wound up up with 437 rushing yards, his exact total from 2024, but he needed two more games and six more carries to get there. Skattebo is expected to be fully recovered for Week 1, and with Tracy as the clear No. 2, Singletary may need an injury ahead of him again to get meaningful volume. Read Past Outlooks

Giants' RB3 heading into 2026
Singletary is expected to fill the third-string running back role for the Giants in 2026 behind Cam Skattebo (ankle) and Tyrone Tracy, Gene Clemons of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Singletary is projected to continue providing a veteran presence in a change-of-pace role similar to the one in which he produced 437 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the 2025 regular season. That rushing yards total exactly matched Singletary's output in his first season with the Giants in 2024. Of Singletary's 119 carries in 2025, 91 came after Skattebo suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8.

Signing Singletary in 2024 was supposed to be a band-aid solution to the Giants' prior decision to let Saquon Barkley walk to Philadelphia, but Singletary was phased out of the Giants' 2024 offense almost as quickly as he was introduced to it – after logging 182 snaps in his first four games, Singletary missed two games with a groin injury and never reclaimed the starting role he seemed to have locked down in September. Singletary lost the job to Tyrone Tracy, then a rookie fifth-round pick out of Purdue who played his first season of running back in 2023. The Giants rolled with Tracy the rest of the way, even with Tracy fumbling five times, which gives you an idea of how bored they must have been with Singletary. Normally fumbling like Tracy did would get you sent to the bench, but as Singletary averaged just 3.9 yards per carry the Giants decided it was worth the fumble risk to roll with Tracy instead. It's possible that Singletary's roster spot is up for grabs now with 2025 fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo thrown into the mix, because Skattebo was one of the most productive running backs in college football the last two years.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Expected to be cap casualty
Singletary is one of the players most likely to be released by the Giants, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran running back doesn't really have a place on the roster following the emergence of Cam Skattebo in 2025, even with the rookie having missed the final nine games of the season with an ankle injury. Singletary may not have much trouble landing with a new team given his resume. While he's only handled more than 200 carries in a season once, he's been a reliable depth option and has at least four rushing touchdowns in five straight seasons.
