There's another $4.44 tournament this week with the winner picking up a cool $1 million and a different $100,000 bonus. This week the bonus will be divided up amongst the lineups who roster the player who has the longest rushing or receiving touchdown. Let's see if we can sniff out whom that player will be this week.
Quarterbacks
Russell Wilson ($9,000) leads all quarterbacks by averaging more than 34 fantasy points per game. He gets another juicy matchup this week taking on the Dolphins, a team that's allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Sticking with this game, Ryan Fitzpatrick ($7,100) is in play for tournaments, given that Seattle has allowed the second-most fantasy points to the position. Fitzmagic is coming off back-to-back games of more than 24 fantasy points and is in a good spot at home to make it three in row. Matthew Stafford ($7,200) is also a good midlevel option to use in GPPs. He'll take on the Saints at home, a team who has surrendered the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Joe Burrow ($7,400) has averaged more fantasy points this season than Lamar Jackson ($9,600) and has a plus matchup against the Jaguars at home. Stacking him with a combination of Tee Higgins, A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd could be the winning combination in a big GPP.
Running Backs
There's a strong case to use both Alvin Kamara ($8,800) and Dalvin Cook ($8,700) this week given their respective matchup. The Lions are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs while the Texans are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points. Both have a floor of at least 15 to 20 fantasy points and can be the starting points of a roster. Despite scoring 19.5 and 27.9 fantasy points in each of his last two games, James Robinson's salary ($6,600) puts him in a position to be a great value. Look for him to be heavily involved in both the rushing and receiving attack for the Panthers. Another backup, Mike Davis ($6,300) is taking advantage of his new starter status racking up 19.1 fantasy point last week. He'll be slated for a similar amount of touches (21) this week with Christian McCaffrey still sidelined. Finally, Joe Mixon ($6,800) is my favorite play of the week at the position. Jacksonville is a less than league-average defense against the run and Mixon has gotten consistent touches throughout his first three games despite there being a lack of production on his part. He's gotten 19, 20 and 20 touches through his first three games, and he's been a bit unlucky to have not found the end zone yet. Look for that to change Sunday.
Wide Receivers
Marquise Brown ($6,300) is coming off a dismal 2.3 fantasy point effort against the Chiefs. He's in a great spot to rebound this week against the Washington Football team. The likely absence of Chase Young should allow Brown the time to get open downfield, allowing Lamar Jackson to hit him long. Overall, this seems to be the position to look for value this week. I'm having a hard time getting away from T.Y. Hilton ($5,900) and A.J. Green ($5,700), since I can't remember them ever being this economically pleasing. Please use at least one (if not both) in a big GPP lineup as they'll both be unpopular picks. Scotty Miller ($5,000) is an intriguing play provided he suits up for Sunday's game. His salary can offer relief to the other positions, and Chris Godwin has been ruled out. In theory he should see an uptick in targets and work his way to double-digit fantasy points as a result. DeVante Parker ($6,500) should be able to exploit a defense who has given up 1,136 receiving yards through only three games (378 per game). Parker hasn't had a huge game yet, but keep in mind he's faced both Tre'Davious White and Stephon Gilmore.
Tight Ends
While Scotty Miller gets an upgrade without Godwin playing, it could be Rob Gronkowski ($5,200) who benefits the most. While he's been mostly used as a blocker this season, he did see seven targets last week, and Tom Brady barely overthrew him on what would have been a touchdown. The team who has had the toughest time defending the tight end position is the New Orleans Saints, who have given up an average of 27.33 fantasy points per game. That puts T.J. Hockenson ($5,400) firmly on the DFS radar. Look for him to eclipse double-digit fantasy points in this contest. Finally, Mark Andrews ($7,400) has the best matchup among the elite tight ends, playing a Washington Football Team allowing 17.43 fantasy points per game to the position. The Ravens as a whole are poised to bounce back this week as 13.5-point favorites on the road.
Defenses
If your salary cap allows it, the Los Angeles Rams ($4,800) look like the most attractive option, hosting the New York Giants this week. The G-Men haven't been able to move the ball without Saquon Barkley, and Daniel Jones has thrown a pick in all three games (four total) while fumbling the ball twice. Looking at some options that allow greater salary cap relief, the Houston Texans ($3,700) are home against the 0-3 Vikings, a team in which their quarterback Kirk Cousins brings in a 40.3 quarterback rating. As long as they hold Dalvin Cook in check, the Texans should be a good value.
