2024 Fantasy Outlook
Strange played in 14 games during his rookie campaign and primarily served as Jacksonville's No. 3 tight end. He caught five of nine targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. Evan Engram is locked in as the Jags' top tight end, but the No. 2 role should be up for grabs. Strange, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, will be competing with Luke Farrell and Josiah Deguara for the role. Read Past Outlooks
Nursing AC joint sprain
Strange was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury.
ANALYSIS
According to Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union, head coach Doug Pederson said that Strange sustained an AC joint sprain in last week's 32-25 loss to the Jets. Fortunately, Pederson said that Strange will be fine to play in Sunday's game at Las Vegas, but the tight end may need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday to avoid taking a designation into the weekend. After Evan Engram (shoulder) placed on injured reserve last week, Strange stepped in as the Jaguars' top tight end in the loss to New York and turned some heads by recording 11 catches for 73 yards on 12 targets. Strange could struggle to reach that lofty target count again in Week 16, but he should nonetheless represent one of the top options in the passing game for quarterback Mac Jones.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Evan Engram busted out with 766 receiving yards and four touchdowns for Jacksonville last season and is back on the franchise tag, which gives Strange a chance to develop in a secondary role after being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Strange is a strong blocker who also caught 32 passes for 362 yards and five touchdowns during his final collegiate campaign at Penn State. He's unlikely to be fantasy relevant as a rookie with Engram atop the depth chart -- tight ends rarely are immediately productive, anyway -- but Strange is likely viewed as more of a potential long-term solution.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Starter with Engram done for season
Strange is expected to work as Jacksonville's top tight end for the remainder of the season, starting with Week 15 against the Jets, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Evan Engram will miss the rest of the campaign due to a torn labrum.
ANALYSIS
Strange found himself atop the depth chart in Week 2 through Week 5 while Engram recovered from a hamstring injury. During that four-game span, Strange caught 12 of 18 targets for 120 yards and two touchdowns. The 2023 second-round draft pick had Trevor Lawrence as his quarterback for that stretch, but Strange will be catching passes from backup Mac Jones against the Jets, as Lawrence has been ruled out for the season due to a concussion and shoulder injury of his own.
