2026 Fantasy Outlook
Warren was one of three rookie TEs who ranked in the top 10 at the position in receiving yards last season, along with Harold Fannin and Colston Loveland. Selected by the Colts at No. 14 overall, Warren paced the productive rookie trio with 76 catches and 817 receiving yards, while his 112 targets were the third-most among all NFL tight ends. He caught only four touchdown passes but added a rushing score on one of his six carries, showing some of the versatility that earned him Heisman hype at Penn State. Warren’s production sank down the stretch last year, along with the rest of the Colts offense, as he had only 26 catches for 200 yards during the season-ending seven-game losing streak. After averaging 61.7 receiving yards in his first 10 NFL games, Warren averaged a mere 28.6 yards over his last seven appearances. He should nonetheless continue to see plenty of targets, especially with WR Michael Pittman (111 targets in 2025) now in Pittsburgh, but Warren may have to rely on quantity to mask a lack of quality with QB Daniel Jones coming back from a late-season Achilles tear. To maintain key role in Year 2
In his second year as a pro, Warren is a candidate to see his role in the Colts offense continue to grow, according to Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
As a rookie, the 2025 first-rounder turned a team-high 112 targets into a 76/817/4 receiving line in 17 regular-season contests. As the coming campaign approaches, Warren, as well as WRs Alec Pierce and Josh Downs could see added pass-catching opportunities, with WR Michael Pittman -- who logged 111 targets last season -- having been traded to Pittsburgh. To that end, coach Shane Steichen notes that the second-year TE has been "working on his body and just getting into great physical shape, and coming in and out of breaks...he's made some good plays out here in practice in seven-on-seven, some team situations. So, looking for the next steps in his development.'' In terms of current average draft position, Trey McBride and Brock Bowers lead the way among tight ends, but Warren figures to fall into the next tier of quality fantasy options at the position once the top duo is off the board.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Standout rookie campaigns from Brock Bowers and Sam LaPorta suggest the TE learning curve in the NFL may be accelerating. While not quite on Bowers' level as a prospect, Warren heads to the league backed by similar draft capital (14th overall) after catching 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior at Penn State. He was a late bloomer, however, posting a 34-422-7 receiving line as a 21-year-old junior in 2023 after catching only 15 passes total in two prior seasons (while competing for snaps with future NFL draft picks Brenton Strange and Theo Johnson). Warren didn't go through pre-draft testing, but film shows that he moves well for someone whose measurements (6-foot-6, 256 pounds) are reminiscent of a blocking specialist more so than a receiving threat. The Nittany Lions even gave him trick plays and direct snaps last season, with 26 carries yielding 218 yards and four TDs. Warren thus profiles as an after-the-catch threat, in addition to using his huge frame to beat defenses down the seams and in the end zone. His short-term outlook is somewhat less promising in Indianapolis, where Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones are competing for the starting QB job in an offense that has two WRs, Michael Pittman and Josh Downs, capable of handling considerable target volume.
