FantasyDraft MLB: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FantasyDraft MLB series.

Pitcher

Jimmy Nelson, MIL at SF ($21,300) – The Giants enter with the lowest wOBA against righties this season. Nelson has earned quality starts in four of his past five starts and he's recorded seven or more strikeouts in each of those four starts, as well.

Patrick Corbin, AZ at NYM ($18,000) -- Corbin has not only pitched well in his past two starts, but he's done so against the likes of the Astros and the Cubs. He recorded 15 strikeouts over 14.2 scoreless innings during that span. The Mets enter with a bottom-third wOBA against lefties this season and a 24.3 K%, which is seventh highest in the majors.

INFIELD

Tyler Flowers, ATL vs SEA ($7,600)Marco Gonzales has really struggled in four starts this season, entering with a 8.44 ERA. The good news for the Mariners is that the Braves have been much better against righties than lefties this season, but one exception is Flowers. Flowers enters with a .381 wOBA against southpaws, which leads the Braves.

Trey Mancini, BAL vs OAK ($7,200) – Mancini enters with a .381 wOBA against righties this season and he gets a vulnerable righty in Paul Blackburn. Blackburn has a decent 3.46 ERA, but he's allowed four or more runs in three of his past four starts.

Gary Sanchez, NYY at DET ($9,300) – Sanchez has fared pretty well over the past couple months and enters with a .353 wOBA against lefties this season. Matthew Boyd, the Tigers' starter Tuesday, pretty much allows at least three runs every start.

OUTFIELD

Mitch Haniger, SEA at ATL ($7,800) – Haniger enters with a .369 wOBA against righties this season, which is tops on the Mariners. The Mariners face right Lucas Sims, who has struggled in limited action, entering with a 5.24 ERA through four starts.

J.D. Martinez, AZ at NYM ($9,300) – Whether or not the Diamondbacks have success as a team, Martinez should be able to hit Tommy Milone with ease. Martinez enters with a .564 wOBA against lefties this season, which leads the majors by a healthy margin.

Eddie Rosario, MN at CHW ($8,800) – Suddenly, Rosario is the highest-priced guy in the Twins lineup, but there's good reason for that as he's been on fire lately. Rosario enters with a .376 wOBA against righties this season, which puts him at the top of this for this matchup against Lucas Giolito. Giolito will be making his first start of 2017, but if it's anything like his 2016 outings, he won't be around long. Giolito allowed 16 runs in 21.1 innings last year.

UTILITY

Kris Bryant, CHC vs CIN ($9,900)Homer Bailey's season started on a sour note, and two months later, he's still struggling. Bailey enters with an 8.44 ERA and he's allowed 18 runs in his last 14 innings. Six of those runs came against the Cubs, who are likely to pound Bailey again. Bryant is the most likely guy to have success against Bailey, as he leads the Cubs with a .390 wOBA against righties this season.

Giancarlo Stanton, MIA at PHI ($10,800) – Stanton carries the highest salary of any hitter on this slate, but considering his recent form and this matchup, he's worth the price. Nick Pivetta enters with a 6.25 ERA and has allowed five or more runs in four of his last seven starts. He's also been knocked around for eight runs or more in two of those. Stanton enters with a .412 wOBA against righties this season, which is best on the Marlins and top-10 in the majors.
