2026 Fantasy Outlook
Harvey was mostly promising in his rookie year as a second-round pick out of UCF, scoring 12 times (seven rushing, five receiving) and producing 896 yards from scrimmage. Harvey was especially effective as a receiver, drawing 58 targets on 478 snaps and converting them into 47 receptions (81.0 percent catch rate, 6.1 YPT). The issue for Harvey is that the Broncos didn't seem inclined to give him that much usage -- he finished the regular season with fewer than 200 touches even though J.K. Dobbins missed seven games. Dobbins is an ongoing risk to miss time, but it's still sub-optimal for Harvey that the Broncos spent a fourth-round pick on 220-pound RB Jonah Coleman, not to mention the lingering possibility of Sean Payton wasting snaps on someone like Tyler Badie or Jaleel McLaughlin. If the Broncos were so stingy with Harvey's playing time as to spend nearly a third of their backfield snaps on complete zeroes like Badie and McLaughlin, it might indicate that Payton has reservations about Harvey. There's no doubt that Harvey outclasses Badie, McLaughlin and probably even Coleman, but the introduction of the latter may nonetheless encroach upon the rushing TD share that Harvey claimed as a rookie. Even at a smallish 5-foot-8, 205, Harvey can almost certainly withstand more volume -- he thrived as a workhorse at UCF -- but it might take injuries to both Dobbins and Coleman in order for Harvey to ever get that chance. Full go for minicamp
Broncos coach Sean Payton said Tuesday that Harvey (shoulder) is a "full go" for mandatory minicamp, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Harvey underwent an offseason procedure to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, but the 2025 second-round pick already appears cleared for all practice activities. Payton said the running back is having a "real good" offseason so far. Harvey projects to be a key playmaker out of the backfield for Denver in Year 2, though he faces notable competition for touches from veteran J.K. Dobbins and rookie fourth-round pick Jonah Coleman. While suiting up for all 17 regular-season games as a rookie, Harvey rushed 146 times for 540 yards and seven touchdowns and secured 47 of 58 targets for 356 yards and another five scores.

Harvey originally was recruited to Virginia to play quarterback, but at 5-foot-8, 205 pounds, that would have been a disorienting sight. He found his true calling upon transferring to UCF, where he moved to running back and caught fire. After an initial redshirt season, Harvey went nuts the next three years, turning 576 carries into 3,789 yards (6.6 YPC) and 43 touchdowns in 38 games. Harvey was also lethal as a receiver, turning 79 targets into 61 receptions for 720 yards and five touchdowns (77.2 percent catch rate, 9.1 YPT). While he might look small at a glance, Harvey is densely built for his height, with a low center of gravity that makes him difficult to tackle. He thrived as a workhorse the last two years, and he may quickly emerge as a starter for the Broncos after they drafted him in the second round, 60th overall, this spring. His prospects took a bit of a hit when the Broncos signed J.K. Dobbins in June, but the team doesn't have much else in the backfield, returning Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin. Perhaps Harvey was a surprising second-round pick, but no one should be surprised if he takes over the Denver offense in 2025.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could slip behind rookie RB
Chad Reuter of NFL.com believes Harvey could be relegated to a change-of-pace role behind J.K. Dobbins and rookie fourth-round pick Jonah Coleman.
ANALYSIS
Harvey started for the Broncos down the stretch of his rookie season after Dobbins sustained a foot injury. Prior to getting hurt, the veteran Dobbins was running ahead of Harvey, whom Denver drafted in the second round in 2025. Dobbins re-signed with the Broncos in the offseason, and Reuter believes Coleman would be a better fit than Harvey to take over the starting role if the oft-injured Dobbins were to be sidelined again. Coleman rushed for 1,811 yards and 25 touchdowns over his last two years at Washington.
