PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
GOALKEEPER
Jesse Gonzalez, DAL v. COL ($5,600):Chris Seitz got the start over Gonzalez in the last game, but Gonzalez is expected to return to the lineup for this one. Colorado has earned just one point on the road and has scored just three goals in nine away games this season. Dallas has lost the last two games by a combined score of 7-1, but expect them to be ready for a bounce back when they come up against the team with the worst road record in MLS.
DEFENDER
Hernan Grana, DAL v. COL ($5,000): Grana loves to get up the right flank as a full back, as shown by the 22 crosses he's sent in over his last three appearances. He has a high floor along with the potential to reach a high ceiling if he gets an assist, and the clean sheet bonus will likely come in after the match as well.
Giliano Wijnaldum, PHI v. MTL ($4,400): Wijnaldum has been a strong fantasy producer since arriving in MLS. His price has risen slightly over the past few weeks, but he is still cheap enough to warrant serious consideration. He only earned five fantasy points in the last meeting between these two teams, but that was on the road, so expect a few more points this time around.
Daniel Lovitz, MTL at PHI ($3,400): Lovitz has done well to fill in for the injured Ambriose Oyongo, but this is his time to prove himself. Montreal just brought in Shaun Francis, a left-back from the Earthquakes, and he is likely the favorite to assume the left-back spot. However, he likely won't be ready to start Saturday, so Lovitz will have at least one more chance to win his coach over.
MIDFIELDER
Lee Nguyen, NE v. VAN ($8,900): Nguyen's game log is stuffed with points. He has failed to earn double-digit fantasy points just once in his last 10 games, and he has two goals to go along with three assists in the last four games. Vancouver is not the best defensive unit in the league, so Nguyen should have fun testing the Whitecaps' backline all game.
Ignacio Piatti, MTL at PHI ($7,900): Piatti returned to action three weeks back, but he got his first start last weekend. He tormented Orlando on the break, and he will surely do the same against Philadelphia. Piatti wasn't healthy last time these two teams met, so he will have the upper hand knowing that his opponent is too familiar with his tricky ways.
Fafa Picault, PHI v. MTL (5,300): This game should be a fun one, and one reason why is because of Fafa. Just as Piatti is a menace on the counter attack, Picault will be a danger on the other half of the field. He is much different than Piatti, who uses his technicality and unique touch to beat defenders. Picault uses his speed, and he is often successful and does something good with the ball when in dangerous positions.
FORWARD
Bradley Wright-Phillips, NYRB v. ORL ($8,500): BWP has four goals in the last three games, and he now comes back to blow off some steam against Orlando. Wright-Phillips put the team on his back against NYC FC, but the team failed to secure any pints. He is surely very frustrated with last weekend, and he is a player that plays well when angry.
Kei Kamara, NE v. VAN ($7,500): Kamara is another player with four goals in the last three games, and when goal scorers get on streaks sometimes everything they touch goes into the net. Kamara makes for a great stack partner for Nguyen, or even BWP if you want to ride the hot hands.
Michael Barrios, DAL v. COL ($6,600): Speaking of hot hands, look at Barrios' game log and surely he will make you think twice. He is home, and Dallas needs a result in order to get back to the top of the Western Conference. Like Picault, he is a speed demon and a real threat to opposing back lines.
