In-Depth Goalie Matchups and Recent Performance Stats
Jesper Wallstedt, MIN at CBJ ($7,900): Wallstedt has won eight of his last nine outings while posting a 1.43 GAA, a .957 save percentage and four shutouts. The Wild have a favorable matchup against a Columbus team that snapped a five-game winless skid (0-4-1) in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Anaheim.
Joseph Woll, TOR at WSH ($7,000): Woll made 23 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Chicago. He was solid in his return to the lineup from a lower-body injury and has won his last three appearances. Woll has stopped 71 of 75 shots during that span. He has gone 4-1-0 with a 2.19 GAA and a .923 save percentage in five previous meetings with Washington, giving him bang for the buck upside despite a difficult opponent.
Hot Skaters to Target Boosting Value Plays and One-Offs
Matt Boldy, MIN at CBJ ($7,700): Boldy has supplied four goals on 20 shots and nine points in his last six outings. He has a power-play assist and a shorthanded goal during that span to go with three multi-point efforts. Boldy has amassed 10 points, including four goals on 15 shots, in his last four appearances against Columbus.
Tim Stutzle, OTT vs. PIT ($6,200): Stutzle has compiled four tallies, five helpers and 14 shots on net during his four-game point streak. He has a multi-point performance in each contest over that stretch, including three goals and two assists with the man advantage.
Drake Batherson, OTT vs. PIT ($5,900): Batherson has heated back up in December, collecting five goals, nine points and 19 shots through seven matches. His three-game point streak ended in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over Winnipeg, but he has amassed nine goals on 34 shots and 16 points in his last 13 appearances against the Penguins.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Dallas Stars at San Jose Sharks - 10:00 p.m. ET
Wyatt Johnston (C - $6,700), Mikko Rantanen (W - $7,600), Matt Duchene (C - $3,100)
Johnston has registered one goal, 12 shots and eight assists in his last eight outings. Rantanen has found the scoresheet in eight of his past 10 games, accumulating four goals, 12 assists and 26 shots during that span. Duchene had one goal, one helper and two shots in Monday's 4-1 victory over the Kings, and he possesses plenty of bang for the buck upside if he heats up offensively.
Johnston and Rantanen combined for one goal and four helpers in a 4-1 win over San Jose on Dec. 5. The trio has considerable offensive upside in Thursday's rematch.
Edmonton Oilers at Boston Bruins - 7:00 p.m. ET
Connor McDavid (C - $9,500), Zach Hyman (W - $6,200), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (W - $5,000)
McDavid has been a scoring machine, compiling nine goals on 33 shots and 11 helpers across his seven-game point spree. He has six multi-point efforts during that stretch, including four instances of three or more points. Hyman has lit the lamp in four consecutive contests, netting six goals on 14 shots while adding one assist. Nugent-Hopkins hasn't earned a point in two games going into Thursday night's action, but he had one goal and six helpers over a five-game point streak before that.
Edmonton's top line has been rolling offensively, and the trio should remain hot in Thursday's slate against Boston.
