Training Camp Notes: September 3

Dak Prescott is a full go for the season opener.
Training Camp Notes: September 3

Great news out of Dallas as Dak Prescott said that he's completely healthy and hasn't had any soreness since returning to practice on August 25. Between his words and recent practice reports, it appears that he can be drafted with the same confidence that fantasy managers had before the injury.

As Week 1 preparations begin, the Giants haven't been able to get much work from Evan Engram on the practice field as he recovers from a calf injury he suffered in the last preseason game. With just more than a week until game day, his playing status for the opener is currently in question, though more clarity should emerge as the Giants practice next week..

While being listed as day-to-day with a groin injury, Jamison Crowder has now landed on the COVID list, possibly impacting his Week 1 availability. For those rostering him, be sure to check updates regarding his status in the days leading up to kickoff in terms of both his calf and COVID.

With Noah Fant having missed practice since August 19 with a leg injury, should he be forced to miss time, Albert Okwuebunam could see an increased role early in the season. That said, coach Vic Fangio expects Fant to be ready for the season opener, but even if he plays, Okwuebunam showed flashes of being a solid receiver last year, so he could have a role when the Broncos put two tight ends on the field. However, Okwuebunam would likely have limited fantasy value when Fant is in the lineup.

With Will Fuller (suspension) set to miss Week 1, Albert Wilson has recovered from an undisclosed injury and is ready to go for the season opener. Although Wilson may be the odd man out when the Dolphins have Fuller back in the mix, Wilson could see targets against the Patriots, especially when the team is in three-receiver sets.

After an impressive run between Weeks 4 and 8 last year, Travis Fulgham did very little the rest of the season, and after being waived last week, he was signed to the practice squad on Thursday. Unless the Eagles have a number of receiver injuries, it's unlikely he re-emerges as a fantasy option this season.
