DraftKings LoL: Sunday Cheat Sheet

The final day of Week One at Worlds is upon us. Upsets ruled the day yesterday with another big win for the Wildcard region. Royal Never Give Up falling to Samsung, Cloud 9 beating Flash Wolves and close wins for ROX Tigers, Team Solo Mid, and another clean victory for SK Telecom highlighted Day Three. Right now SKT are looking great, but haven't been great for fantasy purposes with two clean wins and not a ton of kills. They haven't needed huge kill totals to finish teams, which hurts in terms of fantasy points. Today's lineup is my least confident so far, with not a lot of value to be found on Day Four. C9 are the best "underdog" of the day, but aren't priced far enough behind IMAY to where it really makes a huge difference.

Top Lane: Impact (C9 vs. IMAY, $6,200)

There are a lot of strong top laners on the board today with Smeb, Ziv, and Duke all firmly in play. But Impact is once again cheap and can provide carry potential to rival the top three names on the board. He's put up respectful KDA's thus far in C9's opening two games, but hasn't truly broken out yet after being crushed by SKT and coming from behind in a 70 minute game against IMAY.

Jungle: Blank (SKT vs. FW, $6,700)

If Blank starts for SKT he's underpriced and should be used. Despite SKT dominating their competition thus far and not needing to put up huge kill totals, they still should be used when possible. Blank played yesterday and only managed 18.48 points, but his upside at a cheap price can't go overlooked. It'll be important to find out who is starting between Blank and Bengi on Day Four, but I currently have $300 left over to move up to Bengi if it's announced he starts. If I don't hear who is starting for sure, I will probably move off of both and tweet out who I make the change for.

Middle Lane: Jensen (C9 vs. IMAY, $7,000)

Not feeling that confident about C9, but they are the cheap team with upside Sunday unless you feel really risky and want to use ANX or INTZ. Jensen was clowned on by Faker and out-laned by Maple before playing well in the late game Saturday against Flash Wolves. He ended with close to 40 points and never died a single time I think this is the easiest mid lane matchup of the groups for Jensen and he'll need to have a good game for C9 to pick up their second win.

ADC: PraY (ROX vs. CLG, $8,400) and Sneaky (C9 vs. IMAY, $7,100)

PraY has been the best AD carry in the tournament thus far, scoring 59.32 and 48.28 in his first two games while compiling a 23/2/12 KDA. Pray hasn't fallen victim to ROX's early game struggles and gets the nod over Bang for me due to his massive kill totals thus far. Sneaky didn't play great yesterday, but helped C9 to a win very late in the game. He's the best cheap ADC on the slate for a day with not much value.

Support: Smoothie (C9 vs. IMAY, $5,100) and Wolf (SKT vs. FW, $6000)

On a day where value isn't easy to find, two supports is the way I'm going in order to pay up for other players. Smoothie nearly got to ten assists yesterday against FW and should be able to eclipse the bonus point threshold if C9 beat IMAY today. Wolf has yet to reach 10+ assists as SKT haven't been bothered too much in their first two games. While I'm not positive they'll be too troubled by Flash Wolves, Wolf can hopefully get to 10+ assists while preserving his 3/0/14 KDA thus far in the tournament.

Team: CLG vs. ROX ($3,100)

This is a complete punt and way to save money on a day where every dollar is important. While I don't expect CLG to win, ROX's early game struggles can lead to some early objectives taken by CLG. If they can reach a decent enough turret total and maybe sneak a baron and a dragon or two, they can pay off this tiny salary. We just need the rest of the lineup to go off.
