DraftKings LoL: Sunday Cheat Sheet
Sunday features some good matchups in CLG vs. Apex, Immortals vs. Phoenix1, Cloud 9 vs. Echo Fox, and TSM vs. Team Liquid. Immortals enter the day as huge favorites and should be rolling over Phoenix 1 quite easily. As such they are priced expensively but not unuseable. CLG, Cloud 9 and TSM are the four other favorites on the day, with Team Liquid and Echo Fox being useable underdogs.
Top Lane: KFO (FOX vs. C9, $5,500)
Huni, Darshan, Impact and Hauntzer are all in better spots, but with value tough to come by today we need to pick a few spots to go cheap at. Echo Fox are the best underdog on the day and are coming off of a dominant performance over Phoenix1. While they won't find things that easy against C9, the series should be close and if it's anything like C9 vs. Immortals was Saturday, there will be plenty of fantasy points for both teams.
Top Lane Player to Avoid: Ray (APX vs. CLG, $4,900)
I usually don't like to recommend low tier plays on the slate, but I'm really fine with using any of the top options today. I liked Apex yesterday, but I'm putting Ray here in case anyone is thinking of using him today against CLG. I don't see Apex holding their own against an experienced CLG team like they did yesterday against a newly formed NRG roster.
Jungle: Meteos (C9 vs. FOX, $6,700)
Meteos is back and after an excellent series against Immortals yesterday, is priced nicely for Sunday. Reignover has the best matchup and is the top play, but if you are looking to save a little cash at the jungle spot, I like Meteos in a series C9 should win.
Jungle Player to Avoid: Moon (TL vs. TSM, $5,500)
I'm avoiding Moon again today even at this cheap salary. He didn't play poorly yesterday, but I think it will still take a little bit of time for Team Liquid to gel together with their new jungler. TSM should win this series and I don't think Moon presents enough value to be useable in a loss.
Middle Lane: Jensen (C9 vs. FOX, $7,700)
I used Jensen everywhere yesterday based on how cheap he was and it paid off. The matchup today vs. Froggen and Echo Fox is a better one for Cloud 9 and although I respect Froggen as a player, the upside of Jensen is again quite high. I also like Bjergsen against Team Liquid at $7,500 if not using Pobelter or Huhi at the top.
Middle Lane Player to Avoid: Pobelter (IMT vs. P1, $8,600)
Like Saturday, this comes down to picking which members of Immortals to pay up for. Pobelter will have a fine series and should wrack up the points, but if I'm using Immortals members I want Reignover, Huni, or WildTurtle over Pobelter today.
ADC: Piglet (TL vs. TSM, $6,500)
Not sure Team Liquid can win this series, but $6,500 is a pretty low price for someone with Piglet's upside. If TL have any chance it'll be because Piglet played a huge role. If you are interested in paying up at the position, go for WildTurtle or Stixxay in great matchups.
ADC Player to Avoid: Keith (FOX vs. C9, $6,200)
Keith is coming off a rather low scoring series despite Fox sweeping Phoenix1 yesterday. The matchup with C9 presents a much bigger challenge and with KFO and Froggen being the main carries yesterday, Keith may find it challenging to pick up many fantasy points.
Support: Biofrost (TSM vs. TL, $5,800)
Biofrost is priced reasonably and is a good bet to have a second strong series off the back of his debut on Friday. He showed an aggressive style that is conducive to fantasy points and also syncs well with Doublelift's style in the bot lane. Team Liquid are out of sorts at the moment and TSM should be able to have a fine series.
Support Player to Avoid: BunnyFuFuu (C9 vs. FOX, $6,000)
Unfortunately for Bunny he only lasted one game before being substituted for Smoothie against IMT yesterday. It's going to be tough to use certain C9 players in fantasy this season based on the potential of being substituted out mid series. It's best to avoid Bunny until we're sure he won't be taking a spot on the bench.
Team: Echo Fox vs. C9 ($3,700)
I don't love this pick but with not much value on the board I'm throwing a dart here. C9 were in a very fantasy friendly series yesterday and although Echo Fox aren't Immortals, they may be able to pick up enough objectives to score an average amount of points.
