DraftKings LoL: Saturday Cheat Sheet
Today's slate in North America looks pretty promising for fantasy purposes. I'm focusing in on TL vs. NRG and IMT vs. nV as I think both series go to Game 3 and could each wind up being high scoring. CLG vs. FOX is a tough series to predict a winner with the defending champs playing poorly and Echo Fox looking like a decent team thus far. I'm staying away from that matchup for fantasy purposes. Apex are the biggest favorites of the day, but their series against Phoenix1 could be very one sided, meaning Apex members could let you down based on their high salaries.
Top Lane: Huni (IMT vs. nV, $6,900)
With carry champions like Irelia becoming the flavor of the meta, it makes Huni a very appealing target in fantasy. He comes with some risk of tilting if he gets behind early, but if he snowballs to an early lead, watch out. His cheap salary makes him an auto play for me. I also like Seraph in this matchup on the flip side. He's been extremely good for fantasy dating back to last year and his $5,600 salary makes him a nice pick in a flex role.
Jungle: Reignover (IMT vs. nV , $6,600)
I love picking up good junglers for under $7,000 whenever possible. The price is just too cheap here for a player who most consider the best jungler in the NA LCS. He's always involved throughout the game, whether it's ganking for his laners early or setting up kills in teamfights. Shrimp is a good expensive option, while Santorin makes for a nice cheap play.
Middle Lane: GBM (NRG vs. TL, $6,600)/Fenix (TL vs. NRG, $7,200)
I like both sides of this matchup as both players should be extremely active throughout the series. Like I said in the opening, this series looks like it could head to three games and both mid laners possess the carry potential daily fantasy owners want to see. Their cheap salaries makes it easy to fit both into your lineup.
ADC: WildTurtle (IMT vs. nV, $7,700)
I think if I knew that Piglet was playing today, I would construct my team with Piglet at ADC and Matt at support. Unfortunately we don't know if Piglet is playing or not, so I'll pay down at Support and use the savings to grab WildTurtle. This should be a close series, likely heading to three games which should open up high scoring potential for the Immortals AD Carry. If you don't want to take that route Piglet (if he plays), OHQ (if Piglet is out), and even LoD make nice pivots.
Support: KiWiKiD (NRG vs. TL, $5,800)
Again this series should be close and although I don't love using KiWiKiD I think he's priced pretty cheaply for a player who can generate 10+ assists in multiple games. Is there risk involved? Hell yes, but there's also upside in the savings that allows you to pay up for some of the big players in this game and IMT vs. nV.
Team: NRG vs. TL ($4,300)
I like this series to go to three games and although TL might win, there should be plenty of opportunity to score points for both teams. I like the cheaper option today, but I can't fault anyone for taking Team Liquid in this matchup or paying up for some of the more favored teams.
