DraftKings LoL LCS: Saturday Cheat Sheet
Saturday presents some solid matchups to choose from in terms of fantasy output. Immortals is the heaviest favorites of the day followed by CLG and NRG. In the marquee game of the week, TSM will take on Cloud9 in what appears to be a good matchup, fantasy wise, with Hai starting for C9. That being said, I think TIP vs. DIG could produce the highest fantasy numbers of the game and although TiP looked better last week, I think I'd prefer Dignitas in most areas.
Daily Player Recommendations:
Top Lane:
Darshan (CLG vs. FOX, $6,800): This is a good price point for Darshan who is averaging over 20 PPG on DraftKings thus far. CLG should win this game and Darshan is expected to lane against Solo, who is making his first start of the season. Look for Darshan to play a carry focused split pusher in this game.
Other Suggestions: Huni (IMT vs. REN, $7,300), Seraph (TIP vs. DIG, $5,800)
Top Lane Player to Avoid:
Billyboss (DIG vs. TIP, $6,300): Billyboss died eight times in his two games last week and although DIG can beat TIP, he'll be laning against Seraph who looked great on Lissandra in his one game this year. I would rather save money and use Seraph as my cheap option today.
Jungle:
Kirei (DIG vs. TIP, $5,900): Kirei has been an aggressive jungler for DIG so far this split and that translates well for fantasy purposes. Most days, you can expect to find some value in the jungle role, due to their cheap price and expected points output and Kirei certainly fits the bill today. I certainly expect him to outproduce his salary against TIP.
Other Suggestions: Reignover (IMT vs. REN, $6,600), Xmithie (CLG vs. FOX, $6,100)
Jungle Player to Avoid:
Moon (NRG vs. TL, $6,400): Moon's two games this year harbored average results, but yet he's priced today as if he was an elite jungle option. NRG has the ability to put up huge fantasy points, but Moon is a risky option for his salary today.
Middle Lane:
Shiphtur (DIG vs. TIP, $7,300): Shiphtur has been terrific this split, aside from the TSM game, and should get back to his winning ways today. While Pobelter is arguably the best option today, Shiphtur presents a similar sort of production level for far less.
Other Suggestions: Pobelter (IMT vs. REN, $8,300), Huhi (CLG vs. FOX, $7,700)
Mid Laner to Avoid:
Jensen (C9 vs. TSM, $6,200): He is a cheap option Saturday and if you think Cloud9 will use the magic of Hai to win this game then he could be worth a look in GPPs. But he played pretty poorly last week and could be abused by Bjergsen. Even with his small price I'd avoid using him today.
ADC:
Wildturtle (IMT vs. REN, $8,900): Although all of the members of Immortals are great fantasy plays, one of the main beneficiaries of their recent stretch of dominance has been Turtle. I think he's in line for another big game today against a Renegades team that will be without Freeze once again.
Other Suggestions: Altec (NRG vs. TL, $8,500), Apollo (DIG vs. TIP, $7,800)
ADC Player to Avoid:
KEITH (FOX vs. CLG, $6,700): KEITH is putting up some solid numbers for Echo Fox, but I think they will get dominated in this game by CLG. With Froggen out, KEITH has to be the main carry and I think knowing that, CLG will pressure him throughout the game, making him a risky play on DraftKings today.
Support:
Hai (C9 vs. TSM, $4,500): Kiwikid is probably the safest cheap option available Saturday, but I think C9 has a good shot at beating Team SoloMid, thus making Hai a terrific option at support. Considering he's one of the lowest priced players today, he could provide solid return in a C9 win.
Other Suggestions: Aphromoo (CLG vs. FOX, $6,100), Kiwikid (DIG vs. TIP, $5,700)
Support Player to Avoid:
Adrian (IMT vs. REN, $6,600): Adrian is a great play in season-long leagues and will provide big fantasy points today, potentially. But if I'm paying up for an IMT player today it won't be their support. His nearly $7,000 price tag is just too high for my liking, as it severely limits any chance at spending up for carry roles.
Team:
Dignitas vs. Team Impulse ($4,400): I think DIG will win this game and take plenty of objectives in doing so. They're a good middle of the price range option in a murky DFS scene Saturday. Just hope for no ugly Baron throws.
