DraftKings LoL: Friday Cheat Sheet
I'm focusing most of my attention on the Team SoloMid vs. Team Dignitas series as it should be a close matchup overall. While FlyQuest beating EnVyUS was an easy call last week, I was impressed by their win over Team Liquid as they finished the week 2-0. It's likely they come back to earth this week, but I don't see them being dominated by Counter Logic Gaming making their team and some players good value plays.
Top Lane: Ssumday (DIG vs. TSM, $6,000)
Ssumday will be in this spot as long as he stays underpriced. He stuck to tanks in the series against TSM, which hurt his fantasy upside, but he's still too cheap not to use in this matchup. If he pulls out a carry he can reach 90+ points in this series.
Jungle: Chaser (DIG vs. TSM, $5,700)
Chaser has played well thus far in North America and is cheap in this matchup against TSM. Junglers have had massive impact thus far in the season and Chaser has played a carry jungler in every game sans one so far this season.
Middle Lane: Bjergsen (TSM vs. IMT, $7,200)/Keane (DIG vs. TSM, $6,600)/Hai (FLY vs. CLG, $6,400)
Death, taxes, and a cheap Bjergsen. After a disappointing series against C9, Bjergsen went off against IMT eclipsing 120 points in the 2-1 series win. Look for similar production against DIG Friday. Keane is a bit of a risky pick, but the Korean trio of Ssumday, Chaser, and Keane have shown excellent synergy thus far. Going against Bjergsen is no small task, but Keane has some history of success against Bjergsen in the past. It's rare that we get three mid laners into a lineup, but pricing allows us to fit Hai into this lineup as well. FlyQuest are due to regress, but I can't ignore the fact that they beat Team Liquid who dominated CLG last week. The transitive properties don't always work out in League of Legends, but Hai has scored over 80 points in both matchups this season and even if FLY drop this series, I wouldn't expect total CLG domination.
ADC: Stixxay (CLG vs. FLY, $7,600)
While paying up for ADC's in the current meta isn't always necessary, there's enough value on this slate that using Stixxay doesn't hurt your lineup. He seems the most likely ADC to carry games and is coming off a massive 132.12 points against nV in Week 1. FlyQuest will be more of a challenge, but Stixxay provides the highest ceiling on the slate.
Support: Biofrost (TSM vs. DIG, $5,500)
Biofrost is in a good spot to pick up assists in what should be a close series. DIG present a challenge to TSM so this series should go to three games, with plenty of opportunity for assists in every game.
Team: TSM vs. DIG ($4,900)
While this series should be close, I like TSM to come out ahead when the dust settles. I feel every team on this slate is usable, so paying all the way down for FlyQuest may be a valid strategy if you want to pay up for other players than the ones mentioned here.
