The Monkeys won two of three against the Brothers last weekend, reclaiming their spot atop the standings, but they've slid back into a share of the lead after surprisingly dropping the series opener against the struggling Guardians, who were coming off a 1-4 week while allowing 10 or more runs in four of those five contests. The Monkeys' young starter Lin Hua-Ching had a rough outing in his season debut, but that won't prevent the hosts from going with another young local arm in Huang Wei-Cheng, who has an inflated – even for CPBL standards – 8.35 ERA in 32.1 innings of work this year. Meanwhile, the Guardians will counter with American Bryan Woodall. He has not been pitching well of late, allowing 11 runs (seven earned) the last time out.

Lin Li, Monkeys: Li is nearing an automatic captain role at this point, as the star infielder has been absolutely dominant in the middle of the Monkeys' lineup. He has hit safely in 15 of his last 16 games and enters this matchup with a robust .395 average after going 2-for-4 during Tuesday's defeat.

Yang Yao-Hsun, Monkeys: Yang only has played 10 games with the Monkeys' first team this season, but he has made quite an impact, hitting safely in all but two of those contests. He only costs seven credits and should be a strong budget addition to any lineup despite going 0-for-5 with two strikeouts at the top of the lineup during Tuesday's loss.

Kao Kuo-Hui, Guardians: Much like Yang, Kao looks like an excellent budget play in this matchup. His production - a .342 batting average and a .646 slugging percentage in 88 plate appearances – is quite strong for his 6.5-credit price tag.

Hu Chin-Lung, Guardians: Hu is one of the Guardians' more reliable threats on a daily basis and is consistently a strong play given that he routinely hits at the top of the order. He's hitting .307 this season and went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored during Tuesday's win.
