The Guardians do not enter this matchup in a good run of form, as their defeat on Wednesday extended their losing streak to five games. Chiang Kuo-Hao will try to rescue the team from their most recent skid, but his recent performances have not been very good – he has allowed 13 earned runs in just seven innings across his last two starts. The Lions have not fared much better despite Wednesday's win and have gone 23-28, although they are coming off three straight wins so their confidence should be quite high. Chiang Chen-Yen will get the nod for the Lions and will hope for a bounce-back performance after giving up five home runs to the Chinatrust Brothers last Thursday. He has lost each of his past two starts as well.
