DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Here we go with a two-game playoff slate for Monday night.

We only have a few injury situations to consider tonight. Marcus Smart is questionable after missing every playoff game up to this point. I'm not expecting him to assume a full workload upon returning, but he could cut into Jaylen Brown's playing time. Keep an eye on that situation.

Otherwise, Malcolm Brogdon and DeMarcus Cousins will remain sidelined, which doesn't come as a surprise.

With that, I'll be breaking down the best fantasy choices on DraftKings for Monday. The following write-ups contain a blend of cash game staples, bargain fillers, and tournament pivots.

GUARDS

James Harden – HOU vs. GS ($10,200): This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Harden was able to shrug off the eye injury from Game 2 to post 64 fantasy points on Saturday. The MVP candidate will play in front of his home fans once again, looking to even this series. Harden is the most expensive player on this slate, but he's worth every penny in this situation. Go ahead and lock him in for cash games.

Andre Iguodala – GS at HOU ($4,900): Iguodala well help cushion the blow to your salary cap after clicking Harden's name into a lineup. The Golden State wing has an excellent chance to retain strong fantasy value as well. That has been the case with Iguodala in the postseason, tallying 34 or more fantasy points in three of his past four. He should continue to thrive in this high-scoring game environment at Houston, and the Warriors will keep feeding him heavy minutes.

Also Consider: Eric Gordon – HOU vs. GS ($5,600)

FORWARDS

Kevin Durant – GS at HOU ($9,200): I like Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Harden is more of a priority in my opinion. From there, Durant is $900 cheaper than Antetokounmpo on DraftKings, and they have similar fantasy expectations. Durant has been carrying the Warriors in the playoffs, and we could see another back-and-forth showdown between him and Harden on Monday. Clicking them into the same lineup isn't a bad strategy for that reason.

P.J. Tucker – HOU vs. GS ($4,500): Tucker is essentially the forward version of Iguodala, in the sense that he sees a ton of minutes to stabilize a respectable fantasy floor. Tucker is pretty cheap, too, considering the $4,500 salary comes on the heels of 31 or more fantasy points in three of his past four. The Houston forward should again push toward 40 minutes as long as he stays out of foul trouble. That will give him plenty of opportunities to string together another positive return through peripheral numbers.

Also Consider: Giannis Antetokounmpo – MIL at BOS ($10,100)

CENTERS

Draymond Green – GS at HOU ($6,900): This is a perfect series for Green's playing style. That was on display with a 19 points, 11 rebound, 10 assist triple-double on Saturday. He's averaging 47 fantasy points over three games in this series, which comes at a considerable discount for only $6,900 on DraftKings. Green should be a linchpin in your DFS lineups on Monday.

Nikola Mirotic – MIL at BOS ($4,200): Mirotic isn't a must-play in this slate, but he's cheap while seeing 25-30 minutes in the starting lineup. Since Mirotic made the move to the first unit, he's averaging 26 fantasy points and 27 minutes over a two-game sample. You could maybe make a case for Brook Lopez or George Hill in this salary range, but I believe Mirotic has the best floor/ceiling combination of the options priced below $5,000.

Also Consider: Al Horford – BOS vs. MIL ($6,500)
