Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Top Pitchers This Week

A few top arms will be on two starts this week, but don't forget about those who only have one.
Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Top Pitchers This Week

The calendar will flip to May midway through the week, though the temperatures in many places remain stuck in mid-April. Even so, scoring is up through the same point of the season last year:

SeasonBAOBPSLGK%BB%HR%Runs/gameBABIP
2026.242.323.39122.2%9.7%2.8%4.51.290
2025.238.314.38822.4%9.1%2.8%4.29.285

Homers are the same, but a higher walk rate (ABS?) and BABIP have led to increased traffic on the bases.

It's time to be a little more conservative when streaming pitching. Everyone (including me on the two-start podcast with Clay Link) reviews the double-dippers, the charm of these rankings is everyone is included. Managing pitching is more about identifying the better one-start matchups than bullying two-start guys.

As always, these will be refreshed on Sunday night based on any changes to the world's best Probable Pitching Grid.

Week of April 27 - May 3
