Closer Watch

Boston Red Sox – Koji Uehara isn't your prototypical top-of-the-line closer option, but he's locked down his 7th save of the season, while notching a 1.80 ERA to this point of the young year. Uehara's job is pretty safe, just in case you were wondering. He handled the Oakland Athletics quite well on Wednesday, helping to give starter Sonny Gray his first loss of the season.

Tampa Bay Rays – Brad Boxberger locked down his 10th save of the season on Wednesday, putting him on pace for 50-plus saves for the year. Do you believe? Come on, no way. Jake McGee will cut into Boxberger's save chances. And, let's be honest: Boxberger isn't this good.

Recommended Pickup

Delino DeShields, OF/2B, TEX – Okay, so DeShields isn't your everyday rockstar player, but I do dig his potential overall. And, DeShields is giving enough to keep on roster for a short-term basis, assuming this season only. What about long term? DeShields offers more value, assuming you can wait. Leonys Martin is hurting for the now, so DeShields at least provides short-term production while Martin is dealing with injury ailment.
