2025 Fantasy Outlook
After missing most of his sophomore season due to left leg surgery, Eason had a lot of success in 2024-25, averaging 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.9 blocks and 1.1 steals in 57 regular-season contests. The Rockets were very cautious with him, however, often sitting him out one game of back-to-back sets. Even so, Eason actually finished second on the team in nine-category value on a per-game basis despite playing under 25 minutes per night with a sixth-round valuation. The Rockets will look a lot different in 2025-26, as the team acquired Kevin Durant and sent Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks to Phoenix. Houston also reloaded some depth by bringing in Josh Okogie, Dorian Finney-Smith and Clint Capela, while re-signing Steven Adams. Additionally, Amen Thompson looks ready to take the NBA by storm. There's a lot to like about Eason's game as an efficient role player who is armed with elite steal/block rates, but he does have usage rate concerns with Durant in town on top of a difficult path to minutes in the mid-to-high 20s. With all that said, Eason could be a valuable glue piece to most roster builds in fantasy hoops at an affordable valuation. Read Past Outlooks
Maintaining starting role
Eason finished with 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 100-97 win over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Eason appears to be cementing himself as a starter for the Rockets, which is perhaps solidified even more by the absence of Alperen Sengun (ankle). Eason has averaged 13.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in 27.1 minutes per contest over his last six games, shooting 44.0 percent from beyond the arc as well.

2023
2022
Eason enjoyed a solid season as a rookie in 2023-24, appearing in all 82 games during the regular season and averaging 9.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 21.6 minutes per contest. He was expected to hold a steady role off the bench in 2023-24, but he struggled with injuries and didn't play a single game after Jan. 1, ultimately being ruled out for the rest of the campaign in March. The Rockets are far more talented now than in 2022-23 when Eason held an important role in the rotation, and considering he had a reserve role at that time, he's widely expected to continue playing off the bench, though perhaps seeing even fewer minutes. The fact that he's still rehabbing from a lower leg injury complicates his upside even further, and overall, there seem to be too many question marks around the third-year forward to trust him in fantasy outside of the deeper formats. Eason might have a shot at being a late-round flier in formats with 14 or 16 teams, especially as an injury policy if you selected Alperen Sengun or Jabari Smith earlier in your draft.

ANALYSIS
"He's very unique and he impacts the game even if you don't call plays for him all the time," Udoka said. "We're starting to add him to more things, whether he's a ball-handler or a screener. He's going crash the glass at a high level, like a lot of our guys. He's shooting the ball extremely well, so the spacing is going to be good with him."
