Dylan Holloway

Dylan Holloway

24-Year-Old CenterC
St. Louis Blues
2025 Fantasy Outlook
St. Louis took a chance by presenting Holloway with a two-year, $4.58 million offer sheet over the summer of 2024. Edmonton, which was short on cap space after inking veteran forwards, opted not to match it. At the time, there was some logic to the Oilers’ decision. While they originally took Holloway with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, he had just 18 points across 89 career regular-season outings as well as seven points in 26 career playoff appearances. Given how stacked Edmonton was up front, there wasn’t an obvious top-six spot available for Holloway. The Blues gave him that chance, and he took full advantage, supplying 26 goals and 63 points across 77 appearances. Still just 23 years old, Holloway is capable of putting up similar numbers this season in the second half of what now looks like a steal of a contract. Read Past Outlooks

Inks five-year contract
CSt. Louis Blues
May 1, 2026
Holloway signed a five-year, $38.75 million contract extension with the Blues on Friday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Holloway was eligible to become a restricted free agent this summer. He recorded 22 goals and 51 points in 59 regular-season outings in 2025-26. The 24-year-old also had 26 goals and 63 points in 77 outings during the 2024-25 regular season, so he's firmly established himself as a great top-six option, and he should continue to serve in that capacity for the entirety of his new contract.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Holloway had just one point in his first 14 games last season and before suffering a lower-body which cost him the better part of two months. He remained healthy the rest of the way, closing with six goals and nine points in 38 regular-season games. The highlight of his season was a two-goal, one-assist effort in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Holloway's blazing speed makes him an ideal forechecker and he could see an increased role after signing an offer sheet St. Louis in the offseason.
Holloway's first taste of NHL action was less than spectacular -- he produced three goals and six assists over 51 games as a rookie last season. The forward has some appeal with his physical play, as he racked up 83 hits and 27 PIM. Holloway was taken 14th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, so there's still plenty of time for him to develop into a middle-six power winger. He should have a good shot of being on the Oilers' roster throughout 2023-24, but without a top-six role or power-play time, his offense will likely remain under the 30-point mark for the full season.
