DraftKings Fantasy Soccer: Sunday Confederations Cup Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings Fantasy Soccer series.

MATCHES (EDT)

11:00 a.m: Chile v. Australia
11:00 a.m: Germany v. Cameroon

PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, GER v. CMR ($5,600): It is really a toss up between Johnny Herrera and ter Stegen, but we'll go with the big name here. Ter Stegen starts in net for Barcelona, and he will face Cameroon on Sunday, which should allow for a win and perhaps a clean sheet.

DEFENDER

Joshua Kimmich, GER v. CMR ($7,000): Kimmich is highly priced, but in a favorable matchup, he may be worth it. He was able to get involved in the attack often throughout the match against Chile, and if he receives the start against Cameroon, he will have more opportunities to produce.

Mauricio Isla, CHI v. AUS ($5,400): Isla has been one of the most attacking full backs in the tournament, though he has yet to have a true fantasy breakout. However, that day may be Sunday, as Chile faces one of the weakest teams in the competition. He has already found himself in multiple positions to either score or assist, and he could have more in this game.

Jean Beausejour, CHI v. AUS ($4,900): Beausejour plays opposite Isla, and he is equally offensive. He has five crosses in the tournament, but he could match that in a favorable matchup against Australia.

MIDFIELDER

Arturo Vidal, CHI v. AUS ($8,400): Vidal has a goal and an assist in the tournament, and he is in a good spot to add to that bounty Sunday. He is the heart and soul of La Roja and makes for a good investment on this slate.

Julian Draxler, GER v. CMR ($8,300): Draxler is the star of the German side. Since many first team starters were left out of the roster for this tournament, Draxler is the center of the show for the youngsters, and he has one goal so far. It came off of a penalty in the opening match, and he looks primed to provide a 10+ fantasy-point performance.

Charles Aranguiz, CHI v. AUS ($5,300): Aranguiz takes the set pieces for La Roja, and he has yet to reach his fantasy ceiling. His price has risen significantly since last game, but he is still a great cheap option for your midfield.

FORWARD

Alexis Sanchez, CHI v. AUS ($12,200): Alexis looked great last game and he could have had more than his one goal in the match. He was clearly the best player on the field, and he will surely prove it once again when Chile faces the Socceroos in what should be a very one-sided contest.

Lars Stindl, GER v. CMR ($8,100): The Germans may have found their man in the middle. Germany began the tournament with Stindl playing behind Sandro Wagner, but now it looks like Stindl is the sole man up top for the side. He has two goals in the first two games, and he has a great chance to add to that total against a weaker Cameroon side. We may have a dark horse for the golden boot winner here.

Eduardo Vargas, CHI v. AUS ($6,500): Vargas has a great opportunity to get back on track against a weaker side, and he makes for a very solid third forward.
