2026 Fantasy Outlook
Tucker was limited to 78 games in 2024 due to a shin fracture before being traded from the Astros to the Cubs last winter. The 29-year-old had a productive year in Chicago with 22 homers, 25 stolen bases, 73 RBI, 91 runs and an .841 OPS in 136 games. He missed most of September due to a calf strain and also dealt with a hand fracture in June, which he played through but was accompanied by a prolonged slump during July and August. Tucker showcased his plate discipline with an 87:88 BB:K, but the power production was underwhelming as he posted his lowest homer total since the shortened 2020 campaign. However, a .266 average and third career 20-20 season illustrate how strong of a floor Tucker has established. The rich got richer when the Dodgers signed Tucker to a four-year, $240 million contract in January. The veteran outfielder should in theory benefit from the park change as had a .747 OPS at home in 2025 compared to a .923 OPS on the road, and he will face no pressure to carry the offense in Los Angeles. Slugs fourth homer
Tucker went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 8-3 victory over the Astros.
Analysis
Tucker opened the third inning with a bang, crushing a Ryan Weiss fastball over the right-field fence for a solo homer. It marked the outfielder's fourth long ball of the season and first since April 18, snapping a 13-game drought. Through 34 games in his first season with the Dodgers, Tucker is hitting a modest .242/.325/.386, though he has still been a solid run producer with 18 RBI, good for third on the club, while his 24 runs are tied for the team lead with Max Muncy.

When Tucker landed on the 10-day injured list in early June, his injury was labeled a right shin contusion. It wasn't until he was on the verge of his return in September that we learned Tucker was dealing with a fracture all along. Despite missing half the season, Tucker smacked 23 homers and stole 11 bases, though he only swiped one bag in 18 regular-season games following his return. Tucker took yet another step forward with his plate skills in 2024, walking more than he struck out in 336 plate appearances. Already a three-time All-Star heading into his age-28 season, Tucker has established an incredibly high floor with his pull-heavy approach from the left side. The steals may be somewhat in question coming off the shin fracture, but Tucker has been ultra efficient on the basepaths throughout his career, stealing 94 bases in 107 attempts. Now with the Cubs following a December trade, Tucker will still be an appealing choice in the first round as he plays for a huge payday next winter.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Decision coming soon
Tucker could make a decision on his next team as soon as Thursday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Analysis
Per Mike Puma of the New York Post, the Mets have made Tucker a four-year contract offer that could be worth $200 million. The Dodgers would also like to add Tucker on a short-term contract, while the Blue Jays are willing to give him a long-term deal, presumably with a significantly lesser AAV. It's widely presumed Tucker will pick one of those three clubs, and a decision appears imminent.
