Pino recovered the regular starting role he had in 2021/22 and 2022/23 after missing most of the 2023/24 campaign with a knee injury. He logged 25 starts in 2024/25 as a consistent playmaker on the right side of midfield in a 4-4-2 approach. Pino recorded a career-high seven assists while adding four goals, and he figures to remain one of the key playmaking threats for Villarreal in 2025/26.
