2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rice was the most consistent part of an Arsenal team that was riddled by injuries in the 2024/25 campaign. He played in 35 matches (33 starts) and was one of the few starters to avoid a serious injury. While his output took a bit of a dip with four goals and seven assists, he managed 59 chances created thanks to a bigger role on set pieces, totaling 163 free kicks and corners. Reaching 10-plus goal contributions is excellent for any do-it-all midfielder, and there is a chance he pushes to 15 again if all goes well, as new additions may allow him to roam more forward than prior seasons.
Likely to be available

Rice has been managing a neural problem affecting his hamstring and lower back throughout the tournament and was substituted in injury time of the win over DR Congo, though he is likely to be available to start Sunday's round of 16 clash against Mexico, according to Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport.
ANALYSIS
Rice has been soldiering through the issue throughout the World Cup, with manager Thomas Tuchel insisting there is no structural injury despite the significant discomfort. The Arsenal captain will aim to be fit enough to start against Mexico at altitude in Mexico City, with his availability considered likely despite the ongoing pain management. Jordan Henderson and Kobbie Mainoo would be the likely replacements if the Gunner can't make it.

Real Madrid showing interest?

June 2, 2026
Real Madrid are believed to be interested in Rice, according to TEAMTalk.
ANALYSIS
Real Madrid are believed to be considering a move for the 27-year-old starlet due to his leadership, as well as his physical and technical attributes in the middle of the park. However, he has emerged as a key figure at Arsenal, and the Gunners aren't going to entertain offers for one of their best players, especially after ending just a penalty shootout away from winning the Champions League in 2025/26.
