SLATE PREVIEW
Colorado (-300) and Toronto (-235) are heavy favorites against Seattle (plus-240) and Chicago (plus-190), respectively. The Maple Leafs (14-12-5) have a similar record to the 'Hawks (13-13-6), so at first glance Chicago might seem a bit underestimated. However, they will be without Connor Bedard (upper body), which is a huge blow, and have been crashing for a while with a 2-8-2 record over their past 12 appearances.
GOALIES
Mackenzie Blackwood, COL at SEA ($8,000): Blackwood is about as safe a bet as you can get, provided he's starting, which hasn't been confirmed at the time of writing. He's 9-1-1 with a 2.19 GAA and a .920 save percentage through 11 appearances this year. Blackwood has also won his past three starts while stopping 71 of 77 shots (.922 save percentage).
John Gibson, DET vs. NYI ($7,600): Gibson has been inconsistent in his first campaign with Detroit, but the 32-year-old seems to be getting into a groove. He's won his past five outings and has allowed just 10 goals on 167 shots (.940 save percentage) over that span.
Dustin Wolf, CAL at SJS ($7,000): If you want to gamble on an inexpensive goaltender, Wolf is an interesting choice. The Flames have had a rough campaign, which has led to Wolf posting a 10-12-2 record, 2.86 GAA and .899 save percentage through 25 appearances. However, he's looked better recently, winning his past four starts while saving 99 of 105 shots (.943 save percentage). Meanwhile, the Sharks have a talented young forward core, but when you take the offense as a whole, it's less impressive than it seems. San Jose is in a three-way tie for 21st in goals per game with 2.88.
VALUE PLAYS
Jake DeBrusk, VAN at NYR ($4,800): DeBrusk might be starting a hot streak after providing a goal and an assist across his past two outings. That goal was scored with the man advantage, which means that eight of his nine goals this season have been tallied on the power play. Although others match DeBrusk's eight power-play goals, Wyatt Johnston is the only player with more (12).
Morgan Frost, CAL at SJS ($4,800): Frost isn't amazing, but he's having a decent campaign with eight goals and 18 points through 33 appearances. The Sharks rank 25th in goals allowed per game with 3.30, so this is a decent time to grab Calgary forwards.
Alexandre Texier, MON vs. PHI ($3,500): If you want a really cheap option, you could take a chance on Texier. He's usually not a good pick -- his career high in points is 30 from the 2023-24 regular season -- but the 26-year-old is on a three-game scoring streak (two goals, one assist), so he's enjoying a good patch.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Oilers at Penguins
Connor McDavid (C - $8,100), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (C - $6,500), Zach Hyman (W - $6,000)
This will be a fun game given that it's Tristan Jarry vs. Stuart Skinner mere days after the two teams engaged in a goalie swap. I'm looking for McDavid to find success against his former goaltender, especially given that he's red hot with seven goals and 16 points across his past six appearances. That gives the superstar 18 goals and 52 points across 33 appearances on the season. It helps that Hyman is healthy now and seems to have shaken off the rust that came from missing the first month and a half of the campaign. He's collected five goals over the past three games.
Nugent-Hopkins is a strong member to round out the line with seven goals and 25 points in 24 appearances this season, including a goal and seven points in his past six games. It is awkward that he has the center designation, though. You could swap him out for Leon Draisaitl (W - $7,800), who has two goals and 12 points across his last six games, which gives him 17 goals and 43 points in 33 appearances on the season. Draisaitl will play with McDavid and Hyman on the first power-play unit.
Wild vs. Capitals
Joel Eriksson Ek (C - $6,300), Matt Boldy (W - $7,600), Kirill Kaprizov (W - $7,500)
Washington isn't an easy adversary, but the Capitals are in a slower patch after going 1-1-2 across their past four games, and the Wild are red hot with four straight wins in which they've outscored the competition 18-7. Combine that with the newly acquired Quinn Hughes adding to the offense, and the Wild should continue to roll.
The top line should be particularly effective. It's wild to see Boldy with a higher cost than Kaprizov, but Boldy has managed to take his game even higher this campaign with 18 goals and 37 points through 33 outings. The 24-year-old isn't showing any signs of slowing, either, after supplying three goals and eight points over his past five appearances.
That's not to take anything away from Kaprizov, though, who is very much matching the high expectations put on him with 20 goals and 37 points in 33 outings this year. He collected two goals and three points in Minnesota's 6-2 win over Boston on Sunday.
Eriksson Ek doesn't generate the same level of offense as his wingers, but his seven goals and 23 points through 33 outings are solid. What's more is that he's red hot with three goals and seven points across his active four-game scoring streak.
DEFENSEMEN
Cale Makar, COL at SEA ($7,600): Makar has been held off the scoresheet just once across his past 11 outings, giving him two goals and 10 points in that span. He continues to lead all defensemen in scoring with 38 points, including 10 goals, through 32 outings.
Quinn Hughes, MIN vs. WAS ($6,600): Three goals and 24 points through 27 appearances in 2025-26 is nothing to sneeze at, but if anything, Hughes is capable of more. The move to Minnesota should help -- he's moving out of a situation he appeared unhappy with and joining a talented team. Hughes already made his mark in his Wild debut by scoring a goal en route to a 6-2 victory over Boston on Sunday. It's likely he'll continue to be productive tonight.
Erik Karlsson, PIT vs. EDM ($5,600): Karlsson is rolling with a goal and 10 points across his past 10 appearances. That's pushed him up to two goals and 23 points across 31 outings this year. He's got a good shot of exceeding the 50-point mark for the fourth straight campaign, which is particularly impressive given that he's in his age-35 season.
