2026 Fantasy Outlook
Misiorowski was called up by the Brewers in June and posted a 2.81 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB in his first five MLB starts, which was enough to get him to the All-Star game as a controversial replacement. The rest of the right-hander's rookie campaign wasn't quite so rosy, as he finished the regular season with a 4.36 ERA across 66 innings. However, Misiorowski put his best foot forward in the playoffs with just two earned runs allowed in three outings, as he showcased his potential on the big stage. Milwaukee was cautious with the flamethrower's workload (he threw more than five innings just three times in 18 MLB appearances, including the playoffs), but he still totaled 141.1 frames between Triple-A and the majors. That sets up Misiorowski for a solid starter's workload in 2026, though the Brewers still aren't likely to fully cut him loose. Despite the minor volume concerns, Misiorowski's strikeout potential (11.9 K/9) makes him a valuable fantasy commodity, though there's also some potential volatility given his lack of MLB track record and history of walks in the minors. The right-hander had a 4.2 BB/9 during his rookie campaign (compared to a 5.4 mark during his minor-league career), which if he can maintain, should allow him to be successful at the MLB level given his elite stuff. Misiorowski (10-4) picked up the win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals, giving up three runs on three hits over seven inning. He struck out 11 without walking a batter.
Analysis
All three hits off Misiorowski went for extra bases, including a first-inning homer by Jordan Walker and a third-inning blast by Ivan Herrera, but the flame-throwing righty got just enough run support to collect the win. The quality start was his 12th of the year, while the double-digit strikeout game was his eighth, fueling his MLB-leading 167 Ks in 111 innings -- 30 strikeouts ahead of second-place Dylan Cease and Cristopher Sanchez. Misiorowski is currently scheduled to work the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break, on the road Sunday in Pittsburgh, which would take him out of the running to get the start for the National League in the Midsummer Classic.

This section compares his stats with all starting pitcher seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 120 innings)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.

* Exit Velocity, Barrels/BBE %, Balls Hit 95+ MPH %, and Spin Rate are benchmarked against 2019 data (min 120 IP). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.
  • K/BB
    Strikeout to walk ratio.
  • K/9
    Average strikeouts per nine innings.
  • BB/9

The percentage of batted ball events resulting in a Barrel. A Barrel is a batted ball with similar exit velocity and launch angle to past ones that led to a minimum .500 batting average and 1.500 slugging percentage.
  • Spin Rate
Spin Rate is the rate of spin on a baseball after it is released. It is measured in revolutions per minute (rpm).

It remains an open question as to whether Misiorowski will ever throw enough strikes to be a big-league starter. The 6-foot-7 righty's stuff is not in question, particularly his upper-90s fastball and devastating slider, both of which are 70-grade pitches at their best. Misiorowski logged a 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 105 strikeouts and 50 walks in 79.2 innings across 19 starts at Double-A before he worked primarily as a reliever over 17.2 innings at Triple-A to close the year. If Milwaukee thought Misiorowski was ready to be a major postseason weapon, he likely would have been added to the 40-man roster in September, but that move was never made. He actually made progress last season at Double-A, as he had eight starts with three or more walks in his first 10 starts and two starts with three or more walks in his next nine starts -- his only two 10-strikeout starts also came in that June/July run of improvement. Misiorowski still has a faint chance of making it as a rare starter who is good for 200-plus strikeouts per year, but a future in high-leverage bullpen situations is probably more likely at this point.
Misiorowski has frontline starter upside and all the stereotypical risk factors that get associated with young, lanky flame throwers. The 6-foot-7 righty missed the final month of the season with arm fatigue, can touch triple digits with his fastball and had walk rates over 13 percent at High-A (13.2 BB%) and Double-A (15.0 BB%). He also has one of the best sliders in pro ball and the type of strikeout upside that's hard to come by. It would require rapid development for him to get his command and pitchability to a point where he is ready to have success as a big-league starter in 2024. He built up to 71.1 innings but only threw five-plus innings four times in 20 starts. Misiorowski is the exact type of pitching prospect the Brewers may opt to break in as a high-leverage reliever before stretching him out the following season, as they did with Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff.
Misiorowski was a deep cut in pre-draft coverage, but by the fall, he was one of the buzziest pitchers in the class. It's all about the upside with Misiorowski, a Crowder JC product (the same JUCO that produced Aaron Ashby), who can touch 99 mph with his fastball and has extremely high spin rates across the board on his three-pitch mix. His upper-80s slider is a devastating offering, and his curveball is a great third pitch. The lanky 6-foot-7 righty lasted until the 63rd pick, but Milwaukee gave him a bigger draft bonus ($2.35 million) than they gave to first-rounder Eric Brown Jr., so Misiorowski should be treated like a first-round talent. Several teams hoped to go over-slot to land Misiorowski in this range, and the Brewers were the most aggressive team. His command/control will determine whether he is a high-strikeout starter or a late-inning reliever. He doesn't turn 21 until April and will probably require more development in the minors than the other top college starters in this class.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Uncertain to pitch in All-Star Game
PMilwaukee Brewers
July 6, 2026
Misiorowski is uncertain to pitch in the 2026 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports.
Analysis
Misiorowski is tabbed to start Tuesday at St. Louis and Sunday at Pittsburgh, and if he makes the start against the Pirates, he'd be ineligible to pitch in the Midsummer Classic. That's because starting pitchers who pitch on the final day of the regular season before the break are ineligible to pitch in the All-Star Game. The only scenario in which that could change is if there's a rainout either Tuesday or Sunday, as those are the days in which Misiorowski is lined up to start before the All-Star break.
