2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Douglas was a surprise pick by Miami in the third round, 75th overall, after mocks and pre-draft projections largely pegged him as a Day 3 pick. He put up 60-877-6 and 54-846-7 at Texas Tech the past two seasons, but he didn't get much playing time at Florida before that, and he'll now turn 23 in September of his NFL rookie campaign. The Dolphins seemingly were attracted to Douglas' combination of size (6-foot-4, 206) and speed (4.39 40 at the Combine), though there was also chatter that he made a strong impression at the Senior Bowl. Whatever the case, Douglas now has a nice opportunity to earn immediate playing time, joining arguably the worst WR room in the league. The Dolphins drafted a higher-upside wideout, Chris Bell, later in the third round, but he's recovering from a late-season ACL tear and may not practice all summer. Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell represent the veteran competition for WR snaps, with Kevin Coleman (2026 fifth round) and Theo Wease (2025 UDFA) being the other youngsters. That's soft competition, but playing time may not add up to much for fantasy in a run-first offense powered by the legs of RB De'Von Achane and QB Malik Willis. Read Past Outlooks
Picked by Dolphins
The Dolphins selected Douglas in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 75th overall.
ANALYSIS
Douglas (6-foot-4, 206 pounds) was a decent enough player at Texas Tech, where he went over 800 yards each of the last two years, but he wasn't productive in his two years at Florida before that, and he never really broke out the way an athlete like him should. Douglas' 4.39 speed on his big frame should have made him a dominant collegiate receiver, but instead he was just a solid one. This pick would have been an easier sell in the fifth round instead of the third.

Day 3 target for New England?
In his latest seven-round mock draft, Chad Graff of The Athletic has the Patriots selecting Douglas in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 202nd overall.
ANALYSIS
Douglas was a starter for Texas Tech in each of the last two years, and he was selected to the All-Big 12 Second-Team in 2025 after logging 54 catches for 846 yards and seven touchdowns across 14 games. He's a 6-foot-4 receiver that recorded a 4.39-second 40-yard dash time, which profiles Douglas as a vertical threat that is comfortable with expanding his catch radius and making full-extension grabs, per Dan Brugler of The Athletic. Douglas also served as a returner on kickoffs in 2024, and that versatility would help him earn a roster spot with any team he is drafted by, including the Patriots.
