2026 Fantasy Outlook
Perhaps best known as a return specialist, Washington ended up playing a lot of WR snaps for the Dolphins last season but didn't get many chances downfield (5.2 aDOT). He got more playing time after Tyreek Hill's season-ending injury, but his volume remained dependent on schemed touches. Still, it would be unfair to write off Washington entirely after he spent his first two NFL seasons in an offense designed around Tua Tagovailoa's limitations. Miami's new offense with Malik Willis at QB presumably won't provide a ton of target volume, but Washington at least faces soft competition for playing time in the slot. Read Past Outlooks

Dolphins add three WRs in NFL Draft
Washington (thumb) is facing increased competition for targets and snaps after Miami selected three rookie wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft, Julio Vasquez of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington remains a major beneficiary of the Dolphins' decision to trade Jaylen Waddle to Denver and cut Tyreek Hill (ACL) this offseason, with an argument to be made that he stands as the No. 1 WR for new QB Malik Willis even after Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell were signed in free agency. Miami adding two third-round rookie wideouts in Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell (ACL), plus Kevin Coleman in the fifth round, doesn't necessarily knock Washington out of the mix for the top spot, but the 2024 sixth-rounder now is facing significantly more competition for targets in what may be a run-first offense led by RB De'Von Achane and Willis' dual-threat abilities. Washington posted 427 total yards on offense and four TDs while also thriving in the return game last season, and he's presumably recovered from the thumb injury he sustained Week 18.

2024
A 2024 sixth-round pick, Washington mostly had a quiet rookie season but then came on relatively strong at the end with 16 catches for 169 yards over the final four games. He appeared capable as the Dolphins' No. 3 receiver, and also returned both punts and kickoffs, but there is some risk of slipping down the depth chart after the team signed Nick Westbrook-Ikhine this offseason. At 5-foot-9, 191, with 4.47 speed and a 42.5-inch vertical jump, Washington is a strong and explosive athlete who thrives with the ball in his hands. He fits best in the slot, but the Dolphins also have Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle as excellent options there, making it unclear exactly how Washington will fit into the offense this season. He might just be injury insurance for Hill and Waddle, despite playing reasonably well as a rookie.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Dolphins add two WRs in Round 3
The Dolphins added competition for Washington's targets by drafting wide receivers Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell, as well as tight end Will Kacmarek, in the third round this weekend.
ANALYSIS
Washington is tentatively penciled in atop Miami's underwhelming wide receiver depth chart after the Dolphins traded away Jaylen Waddle to Denver, but Douglas, Bell and free-agent signee Jalen Tolbert all have the potential to leapfrog Washington. Miami figures to lean heavily on its running game regardless after signing mobile quarterback Malik Willis. Bell underwent surgery on a torn ACL in December, while Washington left Miami's 2025 finale due to a thumb injury.
