As we navigate through the season, we are starting to see Top 5 candidates in every category crystallize a bit, but at this point, no one has come through with any of the top prizes!  That won't stop us from trying, however

Before diving into Week 12, let's take a look at last week's winners in every category.

WEEK 11 RESULTS

QB Passing Yards - Dak Prescott

Prescott beat out a host of other top-flight performers in a surprising performance against the Lions.

QB Completed Passes - Jimmy Garoppolo

While we expected the 49ers Defense to hold down the Cardinals, it was actually Jimmy G's arm that saved the day for San Francisco.

RB Rushing Yards - Jonathan Williams

We were close with our Nick Chubb selection, but Williams showed up with a few yards more and no doubt broke many Pick8 squares.

RB Receiving Yards - Christian McCaffrey

We got this one right, finally nailing McCaffrey in a correct category for once.  Our other pick, Leonard Fournette, was a meager 13th place.

WR Receiving Yards - Michael Gallup

Gallup was the prime beneficiary of Dak Prescott's impressive day.

WR Receptions - Cameron Brate

On a day where Jameis Winston didn't distinguish himself in any category, he did manage to connect with Brate 10 times.  Most people don't select a tight end here, so anyone nailing this square in Week 11 would be a huge surprise.

FG Made - Younghoe Koo

Koo did it again this week! Time to start paying attention to this guy

Defense Points Allowed - Falcons

The Falcons also won this category for a second straight week, handing a beatdown to the Panthers.

Week 12 Targets

QB Passing Yards

Matt Ryan, ATL vs, TB

Could Ryan make a splash this week?  The numbers indicate that it's possible, as the Bucs rank 31st in the league against opposing quarterbacks.  Ryan netted 311 yards last week, and he could go for more in Week 12.

Sam Darnold, NYJ  vs. OAK

Darnold was a touchdown machine versus the Redskins, but he didn't reach the 300-yard plateau. The game was likely a boon to his confidence, however. The Raiders have improved defensively, but they still rank 28th versus opposing quarterbacks, putting Darnold in one of the best spots to shine on the slate.

QB Passes Completed

Jameis Winston, TB at ATL

I think Ryan could bink this category too, but when you consider Winston connected with Brate 10 times last week, it's easy to also envision Chris Godwin and Mike Evans splitting 15 catches between them.  Sprinkle in some catches out of the backfield and you'll get a nice, high number.

Drew Brees, NO vs. CAR

The Panthers didn't do a thing defensively last week. When your primary running back is also one of the league's best pass catchers, you're almost always a good candidate for a high reception number.  Having one of the league's best receivers in Michael Thomas doesn't hurt either.

RB Rushing Yards

Nick Chubb, CLE vs. MIA

If there's any week for Chubb to take this category, it's this week against Miami, a team that's allowed 1,278 yards to opposing running backs this season. It's difficult to trust the Cleveland offense, but this spot is too good to fade.

Derrick Henry, TEN vs, JAX

Henry will come off a bye rested and ready to go against a Jacksonville defense that ranks 28th in yardage allowed.  If the Titans can get ahead early, they'll lean on Henry the entire game. He still has plenty in the tank left and can take this category.

RB Receiving Yards

Leonard Fournette, JAX vs, TEN

This is one spot where the Titans have trouble - controlling backs out of the backfield  Tennessee has given up 474 yards on 62 receptions in that category, and though I think the Jags will lose this game, they'll do their best to get the ball to Fournette in open space.

Miles Sanders, PHI vs. SEA

The Sanders formula is a plan that's worked for the Eagles, and it seems like Philly's corps of receivers aren't getting the job done.  This could open up the door for Sanders, who's 100 percent healthy and poised to be a true contributor. Going this way means you need to select 'Others' in the square.

WR Receiving Yards

Michael Thomas, NO vs. CAR

I'll take Thomas in both WR categories without hesitation. But if I had to choose one, I'd pick receiving yards, as I can easily see Thomas pulling off a big run-after-catch against the Panthers D.

Calvin Ridley, ATL vs. TB

Ridley was second in this category last week and this week's matchup presents an even softer spot for the talented wideout.  Ridley is overshadowing Julio Jones on a weekly basis and is simply faster and able to get open with a greater frequency. The Bucs are dead last in defending wideouts, so plug him in with confidence.

WR Receptions

Zach Ertz, PHI vs. SEA

I feel like picking one tight end here has become a more prudent way to diversify your options.  Ertz reeled in nine passes last week and appears to be one of Philly's best options as a pass-catcher right now.  The Seahawks are in the middle of the pack when it comes to defending tight ends, but Carson Wentz has displayed a penchant for checking down when he's able.

Chris Godwin or Mike Evans, TB @ ATL

As tough as their defense has been recently, Atlanta still have some trouble defending the pass.  These two wideouts are a big toss-up, but I'd take look at our Corner Report article to see which one has the best matchup.

FG Made

This category is always a toss-up, but Red Zone TD Conversion Rate is a good guide for FG made - the lower percentage, the better.

Younghoe Koo is on a roll, so it would foolish to not consider him this week. Also, while Pittsburgh has a great matchup against the Bengals, they have trouble finding the end zone, leaving Chris Boswell some good chances in the red zone.

Defense Points Allowed

Remember that we are strictly looking for points allowed, so we are trying to identify blowouts and goose-eggs.

I'm going to go with the Broncos against the Bills, and the Ravens against the Rams.
