The Senators need to shed salary in order to sign restricted free agent Shane Pinto and getting rid of Joseph's $2.95 million cap hit would likely give the team enough wiggle room to get it done, but it remains to be seen if Ottawa will be willing to ship Boucher out in order to complete a deal with Philadelphia. Boucher, the 10th overall pick from the 2021 Draft, picked up 17 points through 21 OHL contests last year.
