NFL Yahoo DFS Picks Wild Card Saturday: Top Picks & Strategy Tips

Jordan Love is priced much lower than the other quarterbacks on Saturday's two-game Yahoo NFL DFS slate, but does that make him a good pick? RotoWire's Sasha Yodashkin breaks it all down.
NFL Yahoo DFS Picks Wild Card Saturday: Top Picks & Strategy Tips

NFL DFS Yahoo contests will continue to run throughout the NFL playoffs, which begin Saturday with a two-game slate consisting of Rams-Panthers at 4:30 p.m. EST and Packers-Bears at 8:00 p.m.

Playing in guaranteed prize pool (GPP) Yahoo DFS football contests is about chasing upside, while lineups geared toward head-to-head, 50/50 or double-up formats should prioritize high floors. The players you want to target for these different contest types aren't mutually exclusive, but winning a GPP tournament usually requires finding a hidden gem or going against the grain in a spot or two while building a solid base of the same chalk plays you would use anywhere. Against-the-grain plays typically consist of big-name players in tough matchups or boom-or-bust types with uncertain roles.

Keep in mind that Yahoo DFS football contests use 0.5 PPR scoring rather than full PPR, which lowers the comparative value of wide receivers and running backs (in that order) while especially affecting high-volume pass-catchers. NFL DFS Yahoo lineups consist of one QB, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, one FLEX (RB/WR/TE) and one D/ST unit. Suggested Yahoo DFS picks for Wild Card Saturday lean heavily into one heavily favored team, though they also include a high-upside QB-WR stack from Saturday's other game.

QUARTERBACK

Jordan Love, GB at CHI ($24): Love's a nice value pick at just $24, as two of the other three starting QBs have cap hits of at least $30. He'll face a Bears defense that allowed 32 passing TDs and 24.4 points per game in the regular season. Both are the largest totals among teams that made the playoffs, and only the Cowboys, Jets and Commanders allowed more touchdown passes than the Bears across the entire league. Love has recovered from the concussion that sidelined him in Week 17, and he threw eight touchdown passes across the last three games he played from start to finish, including a three-TD performance against the Bears in Week 14.

Honorable Mentions: Matthew Stafford, LAR at CAR ($31); Caleb Williams, CHI vs. GB ($30)

RUNNING BACK

Kyren Williams, LAR at CAR ($26): The Rams are by far the largest favorites on wild-card weekend, as they are favored by 10.5 points while none of the other five games has a team favored by more than 4.5. If the game unfolds as expected, the Rams are likely to build an early lead and lean on the run. Williams is coming off his third consecutive regular season with at least 1,350 scrimmage yards and 13 total TDs, having produced a career-high 1,533 scrimmage yards in 2025. Blake Corum ($20) saw his role expand in the second half of the regular season, but Williams is still the primary backfield option and a far superior pass catcher. The Panthers allowed the eighth-most rushing yards (1,808) to RBs in the regular season and tied for the sixth-most rushing TDs (16) given up to the position.

D'Andre Swift, CHI vs. GB ($25): Swift is another RB who set a career high in scrimmage yards in 2025, totaling 1,386 while tying his career high with 10 total TDs. He mustered at least 70 scrimmage yards in both regular-season matchups with the Packers, and the Bears will likely try to ride their running game considering Green Bay was gashed for 444 yards and five TDs on the ground in the last two games of the regular season.

Honorable Mentions: Josh Jacobs, GB at CHI ($27); Rico Dowdle, CAR vs. LAR ($20)

WIDE RECEIVER

Puka Nacua, LAR at CAR ($32): Nacua led the NFL in both catches (8.1) and receiving yards (107.2) per game during the regular season while scoring 11 touchdowns in 16 games. Valuations are lower across the board for Saturday's NFL DFS Yahoo slate, and Nacua looks like an especially appealing deal considering his cap hit was at least $41 for each of the last four games of the regular season. After posting at least 167 receiving yards four times in the regular season, he's more than capable of carrying both the heavily favored Rams and fantasy lineups on wild-card weekend, even against a better-than-average Panthers secondary.

Christian Watson, GB at CHI ($19): Watson established himself as the go-to option in a previously muddled Packers WR room. The start of his season was delayed by his recovery from a torn ACL, but he recorded at least 80 receiving yards four times and scored six TDs in 10 games since returning. Chicago's 20 receiving TDs surrendered to WRs were tied for third-most in the NFL during the regular season, and Watson had a two-TD performance against the Bears in their Week 14 matchup, though he struggled in the Week 16 rematch, which Love departed early due to injury.

Jalen Coker, CAR vs. LAR ($13): Coker has been just as effective as teammate Tetairoa McMillan ($23) in recent weeks. Dating back to the Panthers' Week 13 win over the Rams, Coker has produced 19 catches for 244 yards and three TDs in his past five games, while McMillan has 14 catches for 231 yards and two TDs over that same five-game stretch. The affordable Coker had a season-high 74 receiving yards and a TD in that meeting with the Rams' secondary, which is the weakness of their defense. The Rams have been strong against the run but ranked among the 12 most generous defenses in catches, receiving yards and TDs allowed to WRs during the regular season.

Honorable Mentions: Davante Adams, LAR at CAR ($26); Luther Burden, CHI vs. GB ($15)

TIGHT END

Tyler Higbee, LAR at CAR ($14): Higbee immediately reclaimed his spot atop the Rams' TE depth chart in his Week 18 return from a six-game absence due to an ankle injury, catching five of six targets for 91 yards and a TD. He's a trusted playoff target for Matthew Stafford, as Higbee had 12 catches on 15 targets for 112 yards and a TD in the postseason last year. Among playoff teams, only the Steelers allowed more yards to TEs in the regular season than the Panthers, who gave up the eighth-most yards to the position overall.

Honorable Mentions: Colston Loveland, CHI vs. GB ($19); Luke Musgrave, GB at CHI ($10)

DEFENSE

Los Angeles Rams at CAR ($16): Given the limited selection of options and unusually low salaries at other positions, it's less difficult than usual to carve out the cap space Saturday to pay up for the priciest defense. The Rams had the fifth-most takeaways in the regular season (26) and generated the seventh-most sacks (47). None of the other three teams in action Saturday had more than 36 sacks, though the Bears led the league with 33 forced turnovers. The 8-9 Panthers had by far the worst regular-season offense among playoff teams, generating just 18.3 points per game, which was sixth-fewest among NFL teams.

Honorable Mentions: Chicago Bears vs. GB ($13); Green Bay Packers at CHI ($10)
