NFL Picks: Titans, Bears, Broncos and Giants

This article is part of our NFL Picks series.

I guess I wasn't the only one to have a terrible week. Not only did Pianowski also go 4-11, but DDD one-upped us at 3-12. No one had a winning week, as Stopa and Erickson merely treaded water at 7-8, and we unsurprisingly lost both our unanimous picks, the Jets and Cardinals.

This week, we have four unanimous picks, the Titans, Bears, Broncos and Giants. Pianowski and I both have the Lions as our best bets. And DDD and I have the exact same picks except for one - I have the Ravens, he has the Redskins.

Unanimous/Majority Picks

This week we have four unanimous picks, the Titans, Bears, Broncos and Giants. We went 0-2 on unanimous picks last week, losing with the Jets and Cardinals to bring our season record to 9-6. We went 4-11 on majority (three or more writers) picks to bring our season record to 23-24.

EricksonVikings seem like such a square pick, but it's founded on the notion that I don't think Brock Osweiler is very good at football. And the Vikes do a good job of taking away a team's best option - if Hopkins can't get free from Rhodes, is Fuller enough to get it done? I don't think so... The Lions are that home dog that nobody wants to take this week. So I'll take them... I'm already sick of taking the Cardinals, Niners and Giants. Given that the Cards and Niners are playing each other, that presents a problem. So I'll keep taking the teams I'm sick of taking in a reverse logic play... Not sure why the Colts merit more than three points - aren't they every bit the sad sack franchise that the Bears are? They have an allegedly great QB - he might be very good, hard to tell - but they've done such a crappy job of building the rest of the team. They deserve our scorn... Toughest picks were Bengals, Bills, Redskins.
PianowskiI hated last week's slate, I hate this week's slate. I never feel confident on any Oakland or San Diego game. As great as Denver and Minnesota are on defense, it's not easy to spot chunky numbers on them. I am skeptical of the Rams as a favorite, though I do credit them for showing up so often as a dangerous underdog, unafraid to play anyone.
LissI didn't love the games this week, but the Rams jumped out as a good value to me (even if it's a little trappy), and I also like the Lions at home getting three against the Eagles.
StopaI don't care what their record is, I still don't believe the Ravens are any good. Same goes for the Raiders. Neither of those lines should be more than a FG... Patriots name their number in this spot. This line would be 13 or 14 is Brady had been playing all along, and he's so experienced I have zero concerns about rust.
Del DonThe Colts are terrible, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they lose this game outright.
