NFL Picks: Raiders, Jaguars, Chiefs, Seahawks and Bears

This article is part of our NFL Picks series.

A bad week for most of us, though Erickson managed to go 8-6. Pianowski still has a commanding and no doubt insurmountable eight-game lead with only eight weeks to play. We have a whopping five consensus picks this week, and the Bills are both Pianow's and Stopa's best bet.

Enjoy the games.

EricksonRegarding my pick of the Eagles, why yes, my favorite shape is a square, why do you ask?... I keep picking Seattle, perhaps one of these days I'll be right... I'm profoundly disturbed that I'm continually wrong in picking Bengals games, and ... uh-oh, I'm picking them *this* week? This seems like an Admiral Ackbar line ("it's a trap!"), but I'll take them getting points at home. It's their first big test opponent-wise (retroactively, at least) since Week 4 against Buffalo.
PianowskiThe Buffalo-New York result, to me, said more about New York's strengths than Buffalo's weaknesses. The Bills will score and stay competitive in Dallas, with an upset possible.
LissI found this slate easier to pick than most. Hated taking Carolina because I've been going the other way all year, but hated the prospect of taking Tennessee even more. Surprised the Jags were a consensus pick - I thought I'd be out on an island with them, but apparently the Jim Caldwell factor is overwhelming.
StopaCall me a homer, but I don't understand why the Bills are getting more than three. Yes, the Jets dismantled them, but that's the only game they've lost by more than three all year, and the Jets are one-of-a-kind, so it's not like the Cowboys can duplicate that blueprint. If the Bills don't win outright, they'll lose by a FG... (Disclaimer: I've been on fire with my Best Bet, winning handily several weeks in a row, but crapping my pants with other picks, so read on at your peril.)... The home-road splits for the Falcons and Saints are as pronounced as any two teams in the league, so when it's Saints at Falcons, the impact is doubled... The Panthers are becoming a public team for betting purposes because of Cam Newton - the Titans shouldn't be receiving the full three in Carolina... Fading the Browns AND getting points? Sign me up. Steelers/Bengals should be more like a push, but does the three points really matter much when I believe the Steelers are going to win?
Del DonA whopping 11 games have a spread of four points or fewer this week. Tough slate.
