Dignitas (0-1) vs. MAD Lions (1-0)
The first match of the Blast slate on DraftKings is a European match between Dignitas, who were dismissed by mousesports, and MAD Lions, who come in after upsetting world no. 3 Fnatic. Dignitas are heavy underdogs, as one might expect, and will look toward an incredible performance from veterans f0rest and GeT_RiGhT if they want to turn their opening defeat around. MAD Lions are the opposite image: with the young fire power for Bubzkji leading the way for the Danish side as they look to continue shooting up the world rankings. MAD Lions should also offer incredible value in the match, with MAD coming in as the lower salaried players nearly across the board. Bubzkji for $12,000, as well as sjuush and acoR for $10,800 and $9,600, respectively, should offer immense value in the opening match.
Prediction: Dignitas 8-16 MAD Lions
- DIG Players to Target: N/A
- MAD Players to Target: Bubzkjij ($12,000 Captain, $8,000 Flex), sjuush ($10,800 Captain, $7,200 Flex), acoR ($9,600 Captain, $6,400 Flex)
Cloud9 (0-0) vs. Triumph (0-0)
The second match of the day is the BLAST Spring opening match for both Cloud9 and Triumph in North America, with Cloud9 looking to continue their excellent form. This match looks to be the most one-sided of the slate, with Cloud9 massive favorites

Cloud9 (0-0) vs. Triumph (0-0)
The second match of the day is the BLAST Spring opening match for both Cloud9 and Triumph in North America, with Cloud9 looking to continue their excellent form. This match looks to be the most one-sided of the slate, with Cloud9 massive favorites over Triumph, who sit 33 world rankings behind Cloud9. If Triumph want to pull off the upset they will look towards one player: Grim. Grim has been the star for Triumph, and one of the biggest prospects in North America, and if Triumph want any hope to take down C9, the young star will need to step up once more. Cloud9 will be looking for a statement performance to open their BLAST Spring account; floppy, in particular, has been in indomitable form of late, and will look to keep that going. While anything can happen in a best-of-one, Triumph will have a very hard time matching Cloud9, especially if the match ends up anywhere other than Nuke or Overpass, Triumph's two best maps. Cloud9 would be confident anywhere other than their normal ban, Mirage, with a preference towards Dust 2 or Train. Overall, Triumph have the potential to upset Cloud9, especially in a best-of-one, but if floppy is on form, they will find it very hard to match him.
Prediction: Cloud9 16-11 Triumph
- C9 Players to Target: floppy ($11,700 Captain, $7,800 Flex), motm ($9,900 Captain, $6,600 Flex)
- Tri Players to Target: Grim[Only if you believe Triumph will upset C9] ($13,200 Captain, $8,800 Flex)
Gen.G (1-0) vs. FURIA (0-1)
The third match faces the up-and-comers of Gen.G against the Brazilian side FURIA, who have been one of the most lethal teams in the world of CS:GO. FURIA come into the match off the back of a disheartening defeat to MiBR, a Brazilian derby they haven't struggled in recently, but one where MiBR's addition of trk seemed to make a difference. FURIA still come in as favorites, and will look to turn around a disappointing 0-1 start against the relative youth of Gen.G. This Gen.G side have been one of the puzzles of North America in recent months; a multi-faceted roster with threats from every role, Gen.G have struggled for consistency, but shown flashes of brilliance. If Gen.G want to upset the Brazilians they will have to start in the map veto. FURIA will remove Dust 2, while Gen.G remove Overpass, with Gen.G looking for a Nuke or Train while FURIA will try and force the game onto Mirage or Vertigo, which could lead to the tried and true neutral venue of Inferno. The biggest factor should be the form of KSCERATO, and if the Brazilian superstar is at his usual level then FURIA will like their chances.
Prediction: Gen.G 16-14 FURIA
- GenG Players to Target: autimatic ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex), koosta ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)
- FUR Players to Target: KSCERATO ($11,400 Captain, $7,600 Flex), yuurih ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex)
Chaos (0-1) vs. MiBR (1-0)
The final match of the day looks to be as one-sided as the Cloud9-Triumph one from earlier, especially as Chaos bring yet another roster change to the table, a seemingly weekly event. The change is an interesting one, as Chaos bring back Leaf, who's contract talks about joining the Cloud9 VALORANT team broke down. Leaf returns to the side replacing Voltage, who has been one of the poorest performers for Chaos. MiBR, off the back of finally exorcising their demos in the shape of a Brazilian derby victory over FURIA, should come into this match with the confidence to dispatch Chaos with ease. If they have kNgV- and trk playing alongside FalleN and fer's usual form, this MiBR team boasts some of the strongest firepower in the tournament. The map veto will be key for MiBR; Chaos have a very narrow map pool, which should give MiBR the advantage, and if MiBR avoid Overpass, they have favorable matchups on every other map. Chaos face a daunting task to take down the Brazilian giants, and short of exceptional performances from Leaf or Xeppaa, Chaos should struggle to match the explosive potential of this MiBR side.
Prediction: Chaos 9-16 MiBR
