Fourth ODI Preview: India vs. West Indies

India and West Indies are ready to lock horns in the fourth ODI of the five-match series in Mumbai on Monday. After three matches, the series is evenly poised after both teams registered one victory each, with the second ODI ending as a tie.

The Men in Blue, who won the series opener comprehensively by eight wickets, will be looking to turn things around after two below-par performances against a team which is ranked ninth in this format. The team management will be desperate for the batting lineup to click in the all-important clash as, until now, it is only captain Virat Kohli who is doing bulk of the scoring for the team. In the bowling department, there are not many changes expected as the team looked decent in the field in the previous game.

On the other hand, West Indies are having a time of their life in this series as they could've easily had a 2-1 lead going into the fourth match – which is not the case – but even then the team management will be more than satisfied with the overall performance against a top-quality opposition.

In the batting department, the team will be relying on in-form wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope and middle-order batsman Shimron Hetmeyer to do bulk of the scoring, whereas the pressure is mounting on veteran all-rounder Marlon Samuels to deliver with the bat, especially in an inexperienced batting lineup. In the bowling department, the team will be relying heavily on the pacer unit

In the bowling department, the team will be relying heavily on the pacer unit as the boundaries are small whereas the track will have a lot of runs in it.

Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is a world-renowned venue for international cricket as it hosted the 2011 ICC World Cup final as well. With short boundaries and a belter of track, the ground is famous for providing high-scoring games, especially during the Indian Premier League (IPL). In T20Is, the highest score of 230-8 was registered by England in the match against South Africa in 2016-16. The only player to score a century on this venue is veteran West Indies opener Chris Gayle, whereas the best bowling figures of 4-27 was registered by South Africa's Chris Morris against Afghanistan in 2015-16.

Key Players:

Virat Kohli – 11 Cr

First in the list of key players features India captain Virat Kohli who is in the form of his life and scoring centuries for fun. The 29-year-old has so far struck three-consecutive hundreds in the series, which shows that he is a no-brainer to have in your team for the fourth ODI as well. While playing at the venue, Kohli averages 83 in four innings, which includes as century and a half-century as well.

Kedar Jadhav – 8.5 Cr

Second in the list of key players features India all-rounder Kedar Jadhav. The 26-year-old has just recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained during the Asia Cup 2018 final and is expected to replace of Rishabh Pant in the lineup. Valued at 8.5 Cr, Jadhav can prove to be an ideal purchase for your team as his mystery spin is more than capable of troubling the oppositions, while he is a gifted batsman as well.

Jasprit Bumrah – 9 Cr

Last in the list features India pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The 24-year-old made a grand comeback to the national team in the third ODI where he claimed four wickets for his team. Valued at 9 Cr, Bumrah is an ideal player to have in your team, not only on the basis of form, but because he has ample knowledge of playing at Wankhede Stadium, which he gathered while playing for the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians.
