10 games are on tap Tuesday evening for DraftKings' main slate, tipping at a slightly earlier than usual 6:30 p.m. EST. It also comes with a slightly enlarged total prize pool of $7,500, but still $2,000 to first place.
College Basketball DFS Picks for Tuesday, January 13
It's a unique slate to me, as we've got some pretty large point total disparities. Four games sit at 154.5 or greater, making for clear targets, but two sit at 130.5 or less, and we've got a Duquesne - Dayton matchup at 152.5 that should be highly competitive, seemingly forcing managers to consider players they aren't largely familiar with. After the ACC and SEC, I'm an A10 guy, as I run the shot clock for my local team, but unfortunately haven't seen either side in the early going of conference play.
Two players come in with five-figure price tags, and I'm personally out. Zuby Ejiofor ($10,500) is too inconsistent for my liking, while Lamar Wilkerson ($10,000) is a volume scorer against a good Michigan State defense. I'd prefer to spread my funds to lower-priced options, but if everyone is in agreement, there could be an advantage to using one.

College Basketball DFS Top Players
Kingston Flemings, G, Houston ($7,700)
I flirted with Flemings over the weekend, and while he didn't excel, it wasn't a poor showing either. But, it was "bad" enough to lower the price again, and the lack of production was simply a point issue; he had five-plus assists for the fifth straight time and eight of nine. He's still taken 12+ shots in five straight, and the assists should again be there, with West Virginia allowing assists on 57.1 percent of the field goals it allows. A surging Acaden Lewis ($8,100) is also a fine option with a similar price.
Nate Ament, F, Tennessee ($7,100)
Ament honestly hasn't shown a ceiling since his first few games in November, having not topped 26.75 DKP since the opening month after seven games at 30+ to being his career. As a result, we have a reduced price in a paced-up spot against an Aggies' side that ranks 19th in tempo, per KenPom. The Vols are 1-2 to open conference play and in desperate need of a win at home. He'll need to avoid fouls, but his athleticism should create mismatches where he can provide a spike game for the deflated price.

Middle Tier
Jimmie Williams, G, Duquesne ($6,600)
In three conference games, Williams has a 31.7 percent usage rate, and when fouls aren't an issue (17 minutes against VCU), he's played all but two minutes in the Dukes' other two outings. It's conflicting styles, as Duquesne is 37th in tempo, Dayton 171st and 30th in defensive efficiency. But it's a very fair price for a guy who's been under 27 DKP just three times all season. A 4x floor is a fair expectation.
Dillon Mitchell, F, St. John's ($5,700)
Mitchell appears to be the perfect GPP play thanks to his insane volatility. He's started the last two, earning 26.25 and 23.25 DKP, all while having a 7.8 and 24.9 percent usage rate, respectively. Make it make sense! As a starter (four games), he's averaged a very useful 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals, and the Red Storm bring an 85.0 point expectancy to the table, suggesting Mitchell is a cheap entry point into a team we may want shares of.

College Basketball DFS Value Plays
Jasper Floyd, G, West Virginia ($4,600)
This may be tempting fate. Floyd doesn't have a game in single-digit fantasy points all season despite scoring in double-figures just four times. He's averaging a diverse 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 steals. This will certainly be tested in a difficult matchup. West Virginia comes with an implied total of just 57.5 points against Houston's always-stingy defense that's currently sixth in efficiency and 355th in tempo. There's next to no potential in Floyd, so if you're willing to deal with more volatility in exchange for a potential blow up, perhaps Wisconsin's Aleksas Bieliauskas ($4,500) merits consideration, assuming Austin Rapp (undisclosed) sits again.
Jacob Conner, F, Dayton ($3,800)
Value is starting to become scarce as most rotations are set, not creating new opportunities. Perhaps Conner is a rarity in that regard, as he's recently returned to the starting lineup for the Flyers' three conference games, playing 25.7 minutes nightly. We're going to need all the minutes we can get as Conner is minimal threat to score, averaging just 3.3 points in these starts. He's had a 12.75 DKP floor and 17.25 DKP ceiling thanks to counting stats in nearly all categories.
