2026 Fantasy Outlook
Called up in July, Schlittler quickly endeared himself to Yankees fans with a win in his debut and a 2.61 ERA over his first 48.1 innings spanning nine starts. He hit a couple potholes in September but rebounded in the playoffs, becoming just the 10th pitcher in modern history with at least six innings and two earned runs or fewer allowed in multiple starts with his team facing elimination in a single postseason. The right-hander throws a hard four-seamer and a good cutter, though his other secondaries are lacking a bit. While his strikeout rate was well above average, the estimators point to Schlittler being out over his skis as a rookie, indicating imminent regression to his surface stats. After shining under the bright lights last fall, Schlittler appears locked in to the New York rotation to begin 2026. Read Past Outlooks
